I agree, we currently have a guy with two years remaining after the '14 season and we have a Rfr and TF who should compete. IMO, we need to get to the point, once again, where 2-3 underclassmen are pushing a two year starter for playing time.

I have to think Ortiz's being ruled medically ineligible this year takes him out of starting QB consideration. I'm sure he could contribute to the program, but think it would have to be in a different role, unless all the underclassmen are washouts. He could be interesting in wildcat/option packages, but then again, so is Abdul-Sabor. It is time to be developing a 2+ year starter and opening up the play book on a longer term basis.
