So, what happened to the design you rolled out last year and how does it compare to the current drawings?

I like the new drawings A LOT better. I think we knew it was coming and felt we needed to at least release what we had at the time. It is similar inside, except this includes a Hall of Fame. Outside, this looks much better.

I agree its seems to have more bells and whistles from an exterior standpoint but is it a bigger, smaller or same size building?

And how are you going to monetize the space?

If I were a developer, and a client had 2/3rds of the money, I'd be working right now...

Congrats guys! My OCD side wants you to put something on the other side of that endzone to equal it out though.

It's a lot smaller and I hope they don't regret it in a few years. 11K square feet is not that much for coaches offices, locker room, hall of fame, etc.

The other one shown included Phase I and II. This is just Phase I.

Leadership should plaster drawings of Phase II in front of the boosters every chance they get. It will look a lot better balanced out.

My understanding is that Phase II is the second floor. There will be no balancing out.

My concern in doing it in phases would be the timetable. Is it set in stone when Phase II will begin? If it's open ended it could be 20 years down the road. That's bad.

I think I'll have a beer.

Its pretty much how it has to be just about anywhere.

When Cajun Field was built in the early '70s it was built with the supports in place to build an upper deck on the visitors side. Not sure what phase that was but it still hasn't arrived.

You do what you can with the money you got when you can.

And in U LMs case, with us, Tulane and Ltu-r all with jobs announced and in the works sitting still is no option.

Troy's stadium is built in phases as well. The visitors side upper deck is made to move over the enclosed endzone and an upper deck replacing it to match the home side. Building locker room facilities and offices in phases is just a little odd to me. I'm not knocking what they are doing it's just my opinion.

I think I'll have a beer.

I think every SBC program is having to consider stipends, additional food and other possible increases in expenditures that will come out of P5 autonomy.

We could see slight reductions in all our additions when they happen.

This does blunt some of my concerns about the commitment to the program. It has been almost two years; however, I do believe the win against Arkansas; almost beating Auburn, and playing Baylor close gave the program new life.
