Who the F are they going to hire if they fire Saban?

Some guy named Anderson.
Blake Anderson

We are used to it.

I knew Freeze well enough to know he REALLY had as his goal to be head coach at Ole Miss but I figured no way he could screw up Ole Miss bad enough to get fired in 2011 and besides OM wouldn't hire him on the basis of one season, they'd go after some big names, and then settle for some safe middle of the road pick with several years experience in CUSA, MWC or a semi-well known assistant.

Blew that one.

Figured Gus would want some time before going back to the SEC and besides no way Chizik was inept enough to get fired for one bad year.

Blew that one.

Harsin, figured Pete would hang around a couple more years unless he got an itch for something like UCLA or USC or Oregon. Then when he didn't figured someone would watch film of AState under Harsin and pass on him and just pass it off as the buyout was too high.

Blew that one.

I'm going to try again an declare that TAMU will do a Tee Martin and actually get better without Johnny Football and there is no way Anderson is headed to College Station and TCU will improve and no way he goes to Fort Worth.

What the hell do other school's fans talk about between the end of the season and the bowl game? Coach searches keep us pretty busy.

I hope we find out this year with a little of anxiety that after the great year he had someone might be serious about his buyout.

If we won 10 games and someone actually agreed to give us 3 million dollars for Anderson's Services...I'd be pretty happy overall. That'd be another 3 million to take care of some of the minor issues that need to be fixed around the stadium.

Its nice to have confidence in an administration to get things done for a change.

That being said...its worth noting that his daughter is a Sophomore in High School, and I could easily see him choosing to stay just so she doesn't have to switch schools again. Supposedly, that was the main reason Chad Morris turned us down. Daughter didn't want to uproot before her Senior Year of school.

If we go through it again and lose Anderson, it has to mean that we did well enough for someone to want to hand over $3 million. The combination of $3 million and a fantastic season would be a pretty good balm.

It seems farfetched that anyone would give $3 million off the top before salary to get a 1st year HC. But I never imagined anyone would shell out millions after Harsin's performance, but they did.

Trent Miles job isn't on the hot seat. But, if we go winless again it will be red hot.

Good luck finding anyone worth a **** to replace him then.

You guys are in for the long haul. You knew when he was hired his process was slow, but it would work. You get rid of him after 2 years, without even giving him the opportunity to go through an entire recruiting cycle, and you might as well throw in the towel. No one worth their salt will want the job with the knowledge that they only have 2 seasons to extinguish the dumpster fire.

I don't get the ratings at all. You cant convince me that Blankney and Berry (for example) are sitting on safer seats than Hud.

They're tough at Bama. And Bobby Petrino is Bobby Petrino.

Motorcycle engines tend to run hot, so his seat will always be warm as long as he owns one.

$7,300,000 comes with a lot of expectations.

No way. I only watched 3-4 State games last year and the difference through the season was impressive. Once he found a group that was willing to play for him, y'all played some good games.

I don't know about red hot. If he goes winless this year... it might be an uncomfortable offseason, but I wouldn't say red hot. The only heat would be from us fans. Nothing higher. Now start 2015 0-4... the real heat will begin.

LOL! Talk about not reading. Where in my statement did I say he'll be fired if he goes winless next year? If we don't win a game next year, he'll have serious questions to answer and that's deserving. That'll mean we have not shown improvement and he'll have questions he better answer from the fans, as well as the AD. That doesn't mean he'll be fired.

LOL OMG

You can show improvement and still finish winless, you guys did that last year. Outside of that collapse in the last game, ya'll got better every game it appeared.

He's going to need time. You guys had NOTHING when he got there. You don't turn that around quick. You haven't even given him a chance to get his guys through the system once before you start saying he's on the hot seat.

Not fair to him, but if you want to screw yourself, by all means go ahead. You won't see Georgia Southern fans stopping you.

LOL. OMG. Again notice in my original post where I said he isn't on the hot seat.

We showed improvement last year because we played better against FBS talent than FCS talent the year before. This will be the second year playing against FBS. Improvements in the win column are needed or questions will and should be answered.
