Johnson CFPA Linebacker- Q. Lee (SR)
Paul Hornung (All-purpose)- JD McKissic (JR)
Rimington (Center)- Bryce Giddens (JR)
Mackey (Tight End)- Darion Griswold (JR)

Those are relatively short lists so it is nice to see some recognition for those guys.

I've always argued that no team wants a punter on an award watch list because it usually means they are punting far too often.

Two more Red Wolves on watch list for Thorpe Award (DB). Sterling Young (SR) and Rocky Hayes (JR) are among 39 on the list. Only two from the SBC unless I missed someone.

Haha, so true. Although if a team has a great defense a great punter is a wonderful compliment.

Cajuns QB Terrance Broadway was recognized as one of 40 college quarterbacks to make the CFPA (college football performance awards) trophy list.

As noted above, receiver Jamal Robinson was named to the Biletnikoff watch list.

So the Sunbelt page says David Mayo led the Sunbelt and was 12th in the country in solo tackles per game and ranked second in interceptions for linebackers (in the SBC) yet he only got Sunbelt honorable mention. That's just so wrong.
