The violent vernacular of mashing buttons, cutting off lights or cracking windows is a bit
too much for me. Heck! I still cringe when I hear someone use “buggy” for a shopping cart.
My aunt in Alabama
"Y'all want to go to the store? I'll carry."
That's one I can't get on board with.
I say "carry" in that sense all the time. Another favorite is "Fixin' to".
Here's one that is common around here
"I'd like to never" got that lid off the mayonnaise jar.
Yeah, I hear that one from my aunt from time to time. BTW, how you say "aunt" can tell about one's "southerness". I pronounce it as "ant". It's funny though, I find myself slipping back with the southern slang when I go home. When I'm up here in VA, I don't tend to use the slang as much. It's not a conscience decision, just the way it works out.
like the insect. Ant. Pen is "pin"
You hear this one a lot in rural OK. Mi Ma and Pa Pa

You hear the same around here unless you are around some snob that likes to correct people.

RE: How Southern Are You?
90%. Aunt is pronounced how it's spelled. My grandfather is papa. Y'all is on or more people, all y'all is a whole bunch of people. Instead of saying "a lot" it's a "whole bunch of" or a "whole slew of". Buggy is what the richer folks call a shopping cart.
My favorite is "I bout to" (I 'bout died when I saw that snake).
