Georgia Southern RB gets Adrian Peterson praise
"He's pretty impressive and there's not too many guys who impress me like that, especially rookies coming in," Peterson said, per The Star Tribune. "He's been able to do some real good things in the offense, picking it up well and just his running style."

Indeed!
McKinnon is a freak of an athlete. He has experience all over the field as well. He is going to surprise alot of people in Minnesota.

BTW, Adrian Peterson to Georgia Southern fans is this guy:

Congrats. Good for the sunbelt in more ways than one. Glad we won't have to face him.

With no name given, just praise from Adrian Peterson....I thought it was GS
Adrian Peterson and they had found a new Peterson like player in practice.
That would have been huge news also. Man was a monster.

McKinnon is going to be a player in the pros. AD with two ACLs won't hold up much longer.

Agree, believe McKinnon will do well in the NFL.

I wouldn't count on Peterson giving way to anyone just yet, doesn't mean McKinnon doesn't have a future though be it with the vikings or some other team, hell look at WKU alum Bobby Rainey who was cut by two teams before exploding midseason for the Bucs.

Rainey was an undrafted free agent. McKinnon was a 3rd round draft pick so they spent a lot to get him.

True, but I wasn't meaning that as a direct comparison so much as just an example of how the path to getting real reps in the NFL can be a strange one. McKinnon should have a shot at having the torch passed to him for sure, but there's alwaysthe ppossibilityof another team showing interest in him before AD is done.

I meant that a running back with two ACLs and as many miles as AD is already on borrowed time.

I get that and you very well may be right, but AD is the only RB in the league that I will continue to give the benefit of the doubt to. I don't expect to see a major drop off for AD this year or next, in 2016 and 2017 when Peterson is 31 and 32 and McKinnon is in the final two years of his rookie contract will probably be when we really start to see if McKinnon is in their long-term plans.
