You know I have really tried to embrace it, but I am beginning to think it is for not.
I mean... I post in football discussions, and I get... "What do you know about football? You have only had a team since 2010." Yep. Born and raised in Georgia... but I just got into football in 2010.
Post about our basketball team. I have a little confidence in them. After all, we only have two conference losses last season, and... we have the core of our team returning, and... have a high profile transfer, but I get... "Win something first." Only 1 regular season conference loss, we won plenty last year. I have no problem with the ULL ribbing or even Troy for breaking the streak, but the rest of y'all need to beat us.
This post... I post Georgia Dome stats... thats not YOUR board. Fine, I bring up Turner Field and if we get that it would put us ahead... Oh... we're not talking about down the road... fine.

So I get it Panama. I do. Lord only knows what will happen if we beat some of you guys teams this football season.

Oh and one more thing... Most of the App State and Georgia Southern fans on here need to get a room(Notice I said most not all). The sexual tension in that rivalry is evident in y'alls tickle fights on here. I mean... you Sun Belters give Georgia State a hard time for being cocky. Those two sets of fans posted a topic about how they are about to have the easiest transition in FBS history. You guys need to get a block of hotel rooms in Greenville and knock this "rivalry" on out.

Nope just sick of the gaggle of idiot comments. Just in a week the level of posts comparing us to a SWAC team (no implication there) or hyperventilating because our interim AD is egads! Indian-American?! or any of the other posts calling our MBB a huckster for absolutely no discernible reason whatsoever. There is jabbing at each others teams and talking smack and then there working out ones own warped socio political issues from behind a keyboard. I just think we would be better served being in a conference that actually wants us and is a cultural fit rather than one that sees us as a square peg in a round hole. But hey its just another day that ends in y around here. And now you can have another beer.

You are right....the fact that any upgrades in multiple stadiums in our league should be considered a great sign.....If I remember correctly the first time I went to Ark St....they did not have a video board....several years and several trips to stadiums ago....but that the upgrades come in this conference with better football all the time being played in an enhanced environment is really the point....CUSA will be envious of our conference particularly if we act like its no big deal....happy for the upgrades and proud but a competition should be on the field....and not necessarily like a bunch of 1st grade boys trying to find out who's pee pee is bigger.

Georgia State gets picked on mainly because of the elitist attitude (akademix omg) many portrayed, especially in the early going. This attitude of superiority with absolutely NOTHING to show for in athletics.

Georgia State is like the little jerk kid in the group that gets on everyone's nerves because he's a whining wimp. We don't necessarily hate him (Southern fans do), and we want him to do well, but the kid needs some tough love. Pick on him, beat him up a little, toughen him up...so when another group of guys from the next street over start picking on him, he can handle his own.

Ya'll start winning and get that new AD in there to work a few miracles, and you'll get more respect from the group.

...and going to another conference won't help that any. Georgia State has established its reputation throughout college football. Only winning will change that perception.

Most SBC fans that have been around a while are laughing at this comment because of the extreme double standard and lack of awareness it represents. Georgia State did not have an ounce of the attitude GS fans came in with. Please, sir, do find the post that you are referencing here. Hardly anyone in the GS camp genuinely thinks that we will win the conference this year. Way too many questions to be answered to even start making legitimate predictions. Maybe in week 4 or 5, but not now.

Some of you guys didn't have to deal with GaSt posters when they first announced football and in their first and second seasons. If you did, you would at least see where we are coming from. There are some gems out there.

I know GS has a long ways to go, and a lot to prove as we have done nothing as SBC members yet. However, since announcing the move up, we didn't mention that we are too good for the conference or the other universities in the conference. We love it here, and want to help grow the SBC brand for the long haul.
