More O'Bannon trial confusion
The Federal Judge in California hearing the trial asked SEC assistant commissioner Greg Sanky if the name SEC causes confusion with the Security and Exchange Commission. He responded "In our part of the country, generally no."

That judge is an abject moron.

Yeah when people see ads for the SEC championship game, I'm sure they really think Security and Exchange Commission.

What a stupid question.

They need a judge who is a sports fan to some degree.
Yesterday believe they asked what AQ, FBS and some other things were.
Then made a comment about them using abbreviations that are common.

A lot of times judges have to ask people to clarify what an abbreviation means, even if the judge knows the answer. It's a "just for the record" thing because you need everything as proper as possible. You don't want somebody 30 years from now retrying the case and having no idea what the antiquated phrases mean.

Then again, you're dealing with lawyers....so he might just be clueless....
