Highest Draft Position [Basketball]
What is the highest draft position for a men's hoop player from a current Sun Belt School?

For the Cajuns, it would be Andrew Toney at #8 overall.

Western (still a member for a few more days)

Clem Haskins #3
Clarence Glover #10

Jim McDaniels would have been 1 or 2 but choose to go to the ABA and become the first million dollar player

So WKU is what in limbo? Thought you guys ended your tenure at the end of the academic and sports season. yes loved the Haskins Toppers, but y'all are no longer part of this.

They are still, officially, a part of the SBC until July 1.
Let it go.

From ULM:

Calvin Natt, #7 pick overall in the 1979 draft (same draft that had Magic Johnson and Larry Bird).

Georgia Southern's Jeff Sanders was picked 20th by the Chicago Bulls in 1989.

Damn Natt was good. I thought he was every bit as good in college as Karl Malone and Joe Dumars who played at LaTech and McNeese. Cajun coaches have made some recruiting snafu's over the years, but a couple were not signing Joe Dumars and Bo McCalleb (UNO) who from what I've been told both wanted to come to the Cajuns.
