Nope....real deal and like most dual threat QB's he is being offered at the Power 5 Schools as an Athlete....6' 1", 208 lbs and runs a 4.38 40 yd dash.....kid has a powerful arm and accurate

That is some serious speed for a QB. Sounds as if he is truly a dual threat.

Winchester looks like the real deal. Great passer, super elusive, and accurate. Can buy a lot
of time in the pocket. Seems like Georgia State got a good one.

Looking at his size I'm wondering if the P5 conference schools are offering him as a DB. Looking at the list he must be a smart kid.

That was my thought as well. He'd be a good fit for our offense though. I think Fritz may be after guys who are between 6'2 and 6'3 but sometimes when QB's start getting that tall they loose a bit of their elusiveness, so I'm good with him being right at 6'0.

If he lists at 6'0" then he is almost certainly 5'10". Doesn't mean he can't play at this level. Our starting QB is probably going to be a guy under 6'0" this year.

Knighten at stAte was a Parade All-American and threw for 4550 with 66 TDs and 6 ints his senior season, but it came down to us and La. Tech because he is around 5'10". Corey Leonard had offers from several SEC programs but they wanted him as a DB because he was probably 5'11".

I wonder if Pearson is committed to ASU early because he has work to do in in academics, "wink wink".

Then that would be a mistake. Tough admissions standards.

I do enjoy reading recruiting, but had things fall out from under my team too many times last year to get real excited at this time.

Not a knock at all on anyone that has signed, mind you...

I just remember getting all stoked about some DL kids about this time last year, only to learn he decommitted in November and went somewhere else.

Yeah. It looks like he had a tough time with his OL, but always seems to find the time to get the pass out. 1A doesn't get you many looks, but it's hard to watch his film and not be impressed.

His bigger offers are looking at him at Safety. I know GS has used the TO to it's advantage in this aspect before. As has GT. Andre Brown is a heck of an athlete.

No doubt! At least this way we get to talk about actual football though. Not another thread on why we should or shouldn't take School X.

I'm not sure I'd call Caruso a Pro Style. He looked pretty mobile during the Spring Game. He may be a pass first guy, but he can run pretty well. Lamb is definitely more of a traditional QB than what we are used to. It will be interesting to see who wins out in this battle the next few years.

Yep! Great kid too! Y'all will have to hold on tight with schools like Wake Forest, Syracuse, and Minnesota offering. I do believe those offers are at Safety though.

I'm not 100% sure that we aren't. It might be one of those "we'll give you a shot at QB, but if you don't crack the depth chart, we want you at safety."

Which has traditionally been the sell to most of the QB's and ATH's we have ever signed.

So Asu has selective admissions now? Irregardless, athletes can apply for waivers and still gain admissions. Happens at many schools including some in the SEC.
