They had no choice but to go public...

still handled it well but that's about all they could do once it got out. I don't know what the threat is but if the guy still has the tapes and they're as bad as he made them out to be it could always get worse. And if a reporter digs enough and finds out who this person is...

he will release those tapes. Once it went public, it's all he can do, if he has them and someone finds out who he is. Back people into a corner and they will do whats needed to save face.

There was talk they were going to hire their pitching coach, but he got accused of a few things in the Norwood mess, so that investigation may ruin that chance.
