The only negative was that we ended up choking and losing in OT. The white shirts had nothing to do with that though.
Ehhhhh not really distinct from Troy fans that happened to be wearing white.
We received about 80 home and away jerseys at work a few months back to remove name plates and perform small repairs. Couldn't get any details, but it seems like they will be recycling them for next season.

I wish we could buy those. I would have loved to own a D-train jersey.
No more white outs, but I still love the all white jerseys. They look great. So what if we lost wearing them. We lost wearing lots of color combinations last year, badum pish!
It celebrates out oft-forgotten other official school color.
I think the white out originated from McGee's mouth at the Football Fan Day without consulting anyone. I don't know that, but it seemed like the school was scrambling to make it look like it was a real idea before kickoff.

You can say that if you want, but I sat in a box for the first half of that game, and I was directly across from our fans. Sure, some Troy people may have worn white, but the stadium was a mixture of red, white, and other colors, except for our section which was mostly white with hint of green and gold.
Our section was distinct from the other sections in the stadium.
I was surrounded by Blazers wearing white. Except for my friend that came to the game with me wearing a green shirt. I gave him a pass because he was willing to go all the way to Troy and keep me company.

I would hope a section of fans would look distinct regardless of what they were wearing.
The Blazer fans at that game didn't look distinct because they were wearing white, they looked distinct because they were the only ones cheering when UAB scored.
Check out the video highlights from the big plays...those UAB fans sure did look distinct because of their t-shirt color.
