By the way Steele is also doing a countdown on football teams.
Today for example it features LSU at #14. He seems to be publishing
the actual pages from his magazine.

RE: % of Football Yards Returning
I expected USA to be about in the middle, and certainly higher than 93rd. We did lose QB Ross Metheney, but the rest of our offense returns pretty much in fact. And add in the fact that our QB this year did get quite a bit of playing time last year. I'm guessing most teams ahead of USA return their QB, which is enough to push USA down to 93.

Well it looks like you have almost half of your producers back and I imagine you used seniors and juniors as much as possible so isn't too terrible. Is always a question mark when you are going to have to play a QB that didn't play the year before because on good field decisions are even more important than physical talent most of the time with a QB.

I don't think this necessarily means a lot for ASU. With the coaching changes we've had to rewrite the script each year. I am extremely grateful that we are having to rewrite the script this year.

We lose David Oku and Adam Kennedy having to bash their heads into a brick wall 295 times up the middle for 3.5 yards per carry and maybe Michael Gordon can get more than 112 carries at 6.7 yards per carry instead.

I am not sure Steele publishes a magazine anymore. Nothing but digital. Of course I am wrong. I have not seen it on the newsstands here yet and its usually pretty early. But it is being published.
