The Bi-Annual Mobile Beatdown has a nice ring to it.

I know a large group of people who already call it the "Battle for the Yellow Hammer." I think there is a giant yellow hammer that is out there to go to the victor. I'm not quite sure. There really haven't been many good names tossed out, so "Battle for the Yellow Hammer" or "Yellow Hammer Bowl" or whatever is fine with me.

The Yellow Hammer is part of a widely used war chant by Alabama. For that reason, I'm against it.

this is why I hated it. I don't like the yellow hammer moniker.

I don't think a decent name has arisen yet.

Well Alabama is unofficially the Yellowhammer state.

I know a lot of people don't want it named anything to do with "yellowhammer" since Alabama uses it in their Rammer Jammer cheer. But I've not heard anything else worth naming the game.

Alabama is the Cotton State... Cotton Bowl! Oh wait that's taken...

Alabama is the "Heart of Dixie." Dixie Bowl! Oh wait, that's not politically correct.

Alabama's state flower is the camellia... Camellia Bowl! Well that is taken too.

Alabama's state nut is the pecan. Pecan Bowl? Haha.

Alabama's state tree is the Longleaf Pine. Pine Bowl? Haha.

Ok I'm out of Alabama specific ideas. Haha.
