Sun Belt baseball draftees - All 40 rounds
This should be the full list.

3rd-- Sam Howard (Ga. Southern) LHP
5th-- Zach Thompson (Texas-Arlington) RHP
6th-- Austin Williams (Texas St.) RHP
7th-- Seth Harrison (Louisiana) CF
9th--Greg McCall (Texas-Arlington) C
10th-- Matt Shortall (Texas-Arlington) OF
10th-- Caleb Adams (Louisiana) LF
10th-- Bradley Wallace (Ark. St) RHP
12th-- Garrett Mattlage (Texas St.) SS
12th-- Ryan Bottger (Texas-Arlington) LF
13th-- Jace Conrad (Louisiana) 2B
14th-- Ian Tompkins (WKU) LHP
18th-- Austin Robichaux (Louisiana) RHP
21st-- Ryan Leonards (Louisiana) 3B
23rd--Derek Miller (Texas-Arlington) CF
24th-- Nic Wilson (Ga. State) 1B
25th- Tyler Pearson (Texas St.) C
26th-- Taylor Black (Texas St.) RHP
26th-- Tyler Bray (ULM) RHP
27th-- Austin Pfeiffer (UALR) SS
27th-- Jess Amedee (Texas-Arlington) RHP
30th-- Josh Wirsu (Ga. Southern) RHP
32nd-- Kenton St. John (South Alabama) LHP
33rd-- Carson Baranik (Louisiana) RHP
37rd-- Matthew Pitt (Louisiana) RHP
37rd-- Chase Raffield (Ga.State) LF
40th-- Eric Alonzo (Ga.Southern) RHP

These are college players, not signees who have not attended Sun Belt schools yet.

So we have:

7 from Louisiana
6 from Texas-Arlington
4 from Texas St.
3 from Ga. Southern
2 from Ga.State
1 from Ark. St.
1 from ULM
1 from UALR
1 from South Alabama
1 from WKU

The 2 teams who played for the Sun Belt championship this year (Louisiana and Texas-Arlington) obviously will have a number of guys leaving.

28 players drafted including the 3 from soon-to-be member Ga. Southern. Not bad at all.

ASU finishes 3rd despite having just one draft pick. Shows how well we compete.

When was the last time Troy went without someone drafted?

RE: Sun Belt baseball draftees - All 40 rounds
A little surprised we did not have 1 more of our juniors drafted who was an outfielder, but am glad he will definitely be back. 3 of ours drafted were all pitchers: a 3rd rounder who will be definitely be gone and a 30th rounder and a 40th rounder. I am hoping the 2 drafted late will come back for their senior year next year. I can't believe a 30th or a 40th rounder is going to get much money to sign.

I am sure Louisiana will reload and a season like this will help recruiting tremendously but they will lose ALOT off of this year's team.

RE: Sun Belt baseball draftees - All 40 rounds
Well we are losing 2 of our 3 draftees for sure. Howard in the 3rd round and Wirsu in the 30th round did sign with the Rockies and Cardinals respectively. I have not seen if our 3rd draftee (Alonzo in 40th round) signed or not.

So we will lose our #1 and #2 pitchers from this past year, so hopefully we will sign some impact pitchers for next year.

The Cajuns signed the best class we have ever had this year. Hopefully they can transition to the college game.

I expect us to win 40 games this upcoming season and in two years make a run at 50+ again.

7 were drafted (2 seniors):

1) Seth Harrison (Junior) CF - very close to reaching a deal
2) Caleb Adams (Junior) LF - signed...doubled in his 1st minor league at-bat
3) Jace Conrad (Junior) 2B - signed
4) Austin Robichaux (Junior) RHP - signed
5) Ryan Leonards (Senior) 3B - signed
6) Carson Baranik (Junior) RHP - signed
7) Matthew Plitt (Senior) RHP - ?
8) Mike Strentz (Junior) C - it's believed that he will sign a FA deal later on

Most likely, the only returning starters will be our RF and SS.

Wirsu signing in the 30th round is why Juco signings aren't the way to go as a whole. A kid invested in the school is not very likely to sign for a BJ at a mediocre titty bar. We recruit entirely too many Jucos. 3 to a class should be the max.
