Single game will probably be close to $30/game this year. There will probably be promotions, but those are limited.
And they probably still have higher ticket revenues than we do.
We could probably stand to lower our prices some while we win back some people who are ticked off about the FBS move.
No doubt. Was looking at the number of seats open and think we might want to reduce or eliminate the donation requirement for some section until we are sure of sellouts. This year needs to be about bringing in as many fans as possible and make it a great experience to keep them coming back.
There's probably only one section that they've overpriced. Everything else is right in line with where it should be.
It's overpriced if very few are willing to pay it. Market supply and demand, yada, yada, yada. The have a donation requirement for almost every section to get a season ticket. Also, when you look at Troy and stAte's prices we are overpriced. But I think it is a price that GS fans can afford, mostly, and will be willing to pay. I just don't see why some of the section require a donation to get season tix. Just seeing a lot of open spots in section not in the Club Zones. It seems we have plenty of people willing to pony up for the Club seats, but not many for the "cheap" seats.

RE: Game ticket prices....
Everyone always points to TV as the reason that sets us apart from the P5...it's not.
Nope most of those schools double, or triple, their TV money on tickets and donations. We can't control what TV wants to pay us or those schools but we can have some control on ticket and donation money. If we want to pretend to be keeping up with the Jones....
we have to find enough fans that won't ***** everytime ticket prices go up or the amount they have to pay for a donation to get those tickets. You can bet the farm it cost 2 or 3 times more to get the same ticket as the "state school".
For the most part student fees and season ticket/donation is the only way any of our budgets will be able to grow

RE: Game ticket prices....
I was primarily interested in single game prices. But it looks like most haven't released that yet.
I have stated numerous times that TV money is just a bonus for G5 schools and that if we want to really step up our funding it'll come from ticket sales and donations. having 10K more tickets sold at $25/game and have 6 home games = 1.5M a season. That's not including merchandise, food&beverage sales, etc... You get 25K paying customers and you'll have a nice chunk of change, then add another 8-12K students and the atmosphere in the stadium will be awesome.
Anyway, just curious about single game prices for those that like to travel to away games. And also which games might get a premium just because the school knows a lot of people will show up no matter how much it costs.
When I look at SEC prices it gets ridiculous. usually a game vs GS is the cheapest and cost $35-$45, but the premium games can be as high as $80+ for a single game.

Never lower your prices. Never devalue your product. Troy could stand to raise their prices.

Good point. G5 schools need to build a fan base of rabid fans that will fill the stadiums game after game, year after year, and who make their schools' games a priority to attend. GS is getting there, but our program is so young that we are just now seeing some second generation students and building that culture of Saturdays at Paulson.
