Could this day have gone any worse?

LOL

Houston going 4-1 or 3-2 in Baton Rouge with Rice going 1-2 at Reckling only confirms what the Silver Glove sweep already told us.

Unnecessary. Especially considering we nearly lost our first game to Bryant.

nearly losing =/= losing. All teams in the regionals are good teams, close games are to be expected unless you are Seminole Junior College.

That you coog'd your conference race and had to travel for your regionals?

I guess in all seriousness, the mid-week wins should demonstrate that you have the pitching depth to do well in the fifth game of your regional, whereas LSU typically isn't tested to that depth in terms of starters. You're welcome.

Excellent point re:pitching depth.

It's great for y'all to make some noise this post-season, but be careful. For all you know, you could end up hosting UT or A&M and go 0-2.

Not that I care in the absolute least about your post - but my point was that if we had played better things could have trending towards hosting a Super. I really don't care either way whether UH wins or loses.

As for confirming what the Silver Glove series told us - well, it told us that you won the Silver Glove series (for the first time since roughly the wheel was invented). As for the relative strength of the two teams this year, that's pretty much all it told us - any more than you getting swept at home by Louisville.

That makes very little sense. It is "I couldn't care less." As in, "after Rice's elimination, I could not possibly care less who wins."

That said, good point. Go Aggies. But mostly go LSU, to keep the locals happy.

Standard ut and Augie arrogance. Could u imagine a Wayne coached team acting like that? And they could have done so vs Matt Ueckert, but they have class as opposed to talking about how much class they have. Is there any doubt as to why ut is hated so much?

Unfortunately we did some cooging of our own giving up a six run lead and committing four errors.

We committed a heck of a lot more than the 4 errors deemed by the official scorer. More like 7 or 8 errors.

Yeah, that really p***** me off. I try to root for the Horns and the Aggies when Rice is not involved (Texas pride thing), but that display of arrogance did not sit well with me. And honestly, I don't like the idea of anyone but Rice celebrating on our field.

Big props to UH though. I hope they do well against LSU tonight.

It wasn't Horns fans - it was the players.

Looked pretty nasty on the ESPN telecast.

Teykl was at UT for two seasons with 0 and 1.2 IP, then transferred to San Jac before Rice this year, and the players were giving him hell from the dugout when he was on the bump. Although it could have been simply to get into his head to give up the tying run, which he did.

Not only the chirping from the dugout, but when Tekyl went to back up home plate on the sac fly, their entire dugout ran out there and danced around and celebrated and talked trash to him after the run scored. Several got in his face. One looked like he was going to chest bump him. It was pretty ridiculous. Of course the umpire wasn't looking, and only started looking when Teykl started giving it back.

Tekyl was backing up the plate on the tying run. After it scored, one of the Horn players, probably the on-deck hitter directing the runner, mouthed off pretty loudly to Tekyl as the Horn was going to the dugout and Tekyl was going back to the mound. Could very easily have been a fight if Trevor had been so inclined.

My impression was that most of the Texas fans saw the response from Teykl but were unaware of the provocation of the Texas players in the excitement of the run scoring.

Mine too. It wasn't just excitement by their players though. They were acting like total clowns.

It seemed pretty clear to me that one of the players said something-something-m____r-f____r ... I thought that would've been loud enough to carry up to the stands. It made me wonder if there was some other history there, or if that's just how the treat their friends.
