Generally, there's more action in a softball game than baseball. Some really nice looking players on most teams! And, I really enjoy beating the so-called big boy schools, which is the main reason I like it. That trumps everything else!

It moves at a faster pace, but there are fewer in game decisions made, and a lot less scoring. There are a few good looking players, but not all.

I just cant get excited because there are so few decisions to make. You can throw 2 pitchers and dominate an entire season.

ASU beats Nebraska and Vanderbilt regularly in Bowling, but I've never attended a match.

Our coach, Mike Lotief pretty much calls a timeout every inning. The pitch calling is a big part of the game, like baseball. I see your point about pitchers, and there's also the ability to leave the game and come back. Only rationale for that has to be something to do with the girls natural cycles and the potential problems with that.

Don't forget the special pitch runner. I laughed when you had this 280 pound girl you got to pinch run for with some 95 pound track athlete.

Softball pitchers throw longer because there is little strain on the arm throwing underhanded. In the WCWS, you'll see one pitcher start both halves of a doubleheader. Its insane.

I also find it hard to watch softball alot. We have a fairly good team here at Ga. Southern but the game is too pitcher dominated in my opinion.

Its not that pitcher dominated games are bad, I mean as a baseball purist, I love a pitchers duel, but the Troy/Arkansas State baseball games that are so close every year would have a lot of fun taken out of them if each team could just throw their top pitcher every single game.

Part of the fun of a baseball series is that Sunday game when both teams have used their top two pitchers and whoever has the best bullpen wins.

Not to mention the incessant chanting drives me crazy.

Much more strategy in when to bring in relievers in baseball, who to start game, etc. In softball you have 2 good pitchers you are set. Just pitch the #1 pitcher 70% of time and the #2 the other 30%. It sort of takes the decision making out of it from a pitching perspective.

The Ragin Cajun Softball team has held a high standard for many years now. This year is no different, they are a tremendous credit to the University of Louisiana. Geaux Cajuns at the WCWS!

Judging from your comments, its probably because you don't know the game very well. It is not the same game you may have played as an adult on the weekend. There is way more moving pieces during the games and scouting before hand at that level. I will watch softball more than I would sit through soccer.

My only exposure to college softball is whenever ESPN airs it every May during the postseason. ASU doesn't sponsor the sport, so I get little perspective outside of the top teams.

I can sit and watch Soccer for hours, but can barely make it through 10 minutes of a college softball game.

Maybe if you had a team with a rich tradition and the games are loud, packed, and exciting, such as the Cajuns, you would change your mind.

It's exciting when you see a bomb leave the park and the crowd goes crazy. It's fun
to watch such talented girls. It is quicker paced than the guys

Even then, its very much a personal preference sort of situation. I know Alabama fans who absolutely hate Girls Softball, yet they have one of the best programs in the country. In a way its a lot like Women's basketball. Only a small few schools have the dedicated fan bases to really drive attendance. Many places will never have a chance to see that.

It's one of those sports that you never really think of until you start winning. I'd never been to a softball game until we started winning and got into the rankings. After the first game I was a fan. It has really caught on here and draws some good crowds. Not like in this video though. Yet. Good luck in OKC.
