Fair ranking, though I do hope to see us overtake ULM & at worst be tied with Troy.

I've seen this ranking over and over. Now we have to see what the actual scores will be.

I'm just thrilled to see App in a FBS magazine!

I never get too upset about pre season picks. Especially this year
when it will be our first FBS year. Would think we would have to be
better than some schools in their first FBS years. At least hope so.

I think we'll be better than fifth that is the lowest I could see ULM finishing. We have a veteran team back with what looks like a very solid defense. If Pete Thomas the new qb transfer can come in and pass the ball effectively we should have a solid year.

I could see Texas state finishing as high as 3. I just don't see anyone besides ULL or stAte winning it all.

I get that. Louisiana should be #1 right now. Arkansas State I can see being as low as four. They've been able to reload pretty successfully, but it has to end sometime, no one can really know if they've recruited well during their run or rested on their laurels. Having a new coach is still an unknown, no matter how good they've been at it. There's only so many Freeze's and Malzhan's to go around.

The SBC is always full of surprises. USA and Troy have the offenses to win it all if the defenses can improve even just a little bit.

I discount Georgia State, NMSU, Idaho, Georgia Southern, & App State from winning the conference this year (no offense to those teams, they just have to catch up).

I then expect the winner to be either the Cajuns or stAte.

The exception to the above notion is if any of the other teams (USA, Troy, ULM, or even Texas State) have a player (or possibly multiple players) just come up HUGE, or the injury bug just tears apart the two favorites.

With new meat on the table imagine there are going to be some sort
of shake ups. Things seldom just stay the same. Would doubt something
unexpected happening like Troy or South Alabama actually winning it all.
