San Marcos TX - If you don't like, stay the F!@# away
San Marcos releases new hipster-friendly video. Fixed gear bikes, food trailers, public art, passive-aggressive use of Tshirts that take jabs at Austin. -- "If you don't like it, don't come here"

I'm coming to nearby Cibilo next week and will check out San Marcus and see for myself if it's as bad as some say it is.

Depending on what your interests are, here are some suggestions:

1. Take a walk around campus
2. Take a walk around the square/downtown
3. Check out these parks (Sewell, City Park, Rio Vista, 5 Mile Dam
4. Check out Spring Lake/The Meadows Center/Aquarena Springs (glass bottom boat ride)
5. Drive by Bobcat Stadium
6. Drive through the Belvin Street historical district
7. Check out the Outlet Malls
8. Dick's Classic Car Garage (highly recommended if you're a car buff)
9. LBJ Museum (I wouldn't be caught dead in there)
10. Witliff Collections (7th floor of Alkek Library)
11. Stay past 10pm and go check out the nightlife
12. Grab a 12-pack and swim/float the river http://www.tubesanmarcos.com/

Restaurant Suggestions

2. Tap Room
3. Valentino's Pizza
4. Root Cellar
5. Louie's Oster Bar
6. Alvin Ord's

you couldn't be more wrong..

As a Bobcat alum, I can tell you there are worse ways to spend a weekend than floating to Don's alongside a hundred drunk/hot TXST coeds in skimpy bikinis.

We have the best looking women in the state... and that's not just bias.

San Marcos is a great town filled with even better people, there is a reason everyone in America wants in on the action.

The town is fine but TXST was a campus I really enjoyed exploring. They have a nice setup there.

As a connoisseur of all things awesome, I can say the pics do not do the area justice.
