Where are the rumors coming from first?

From the people who want everything in a one size fits all box. Anything out of the ordinary, conference size, # of conference games played, etc. is to be abhorred, and changed so that everything is the same all over. No diversity, and no other opinions allowed.

All 4 teams have shown they are capable of playing with and beating the "power" school teams at one point or another the past few years. It's testament to the disparity in TV revenues that puts teams of conferences like the AAC at a real and enormous disadvantage to be able to sustain that success year after year. From losing out on recruits because we couldn't promise a shot at the CFP, to losing coaches for higher paying gigs that can promise recruits a shot at the CFP... those are very tough hurdles to overcome, but somehow the 4 incoming teams have managed it.

In a couple years, I certainly wouldn't discount UCF and UH from playing like UC and BYU are this year now that they can also promise the recruits and coaches great rewards for picking them to play for!

The new B12 will be very competitive with these 4 teams coming in, and the existing B12 schools will underestimate us at their own peril!

Don't think TCU will overlook anyone coming in; we've been in that position and Patterson has faced BYU and Houston enough to know what they bring to the table. (Hell, we can't even beat SMU )

I think most teams will be smart enough not to underestimate the newcomers. Whether their fans are smart enough to do the same remains to be seen.

Houston hasn’t played TCU in over 18 years. TCU , A&M , Baylor and UT vehemently refused to schedule UH.

We played them in the 2007 Texas Bowl.

Patterson faced Houston 4 times when both were members of C-USA, the last two of those were one score ball games. So yes, it has been a while ago (although in my memory it seems more recent, but time flies)....the Texas bowl in 2007 was a 1 score game as well.

My only point is that I don't think Patterson or his staff are going to overlook any of the new coming members given TCU has been through the same journey.
