Paying $75,551.17 for each game played in the dome this year, thought
some had said you paid nothing.

Fun with numbers? I can promise you that the GWCC Authority bills us $1 a year. Now how much does all the other game day prep cost? Another story entirely, which by the way you still have to pay for on campus. But if it helps make the case...carry on.

Maybe a mile. Really it'd just be a continuation of campus with the state Capitol and crossing I-20 being the only hiccups.

Just need the street car to make a right down Piedmont.

Look at all of our arguments in the past about the sterility of the experience you get at the Dome....and all the shouts from GaSt were nothing but "LALALALA NFL CLASS FACILITY."

Its is an NFL class facility. Its a great facility. There were 3 options presented in 2009 and we took the best one just as we are intending to do now.

Now a school official is basically backing our side of that.

It is quite humorous.

The drawing of the football stadium seems really off. Not liking the first draft there.

Modification of a baseball facility, that's why the stands look "off."

Likely very preliminary. Looking forward to the Braves officially ending their lease so we can get going.

#11 & #12 says transit... Maybe there will be something. The roads are already listed. So I don't know why that would be needed if they are just the roads and nothing more.

why bring race and homosexuality to the argument? unnecessary.

your fans acted as if playing in the dome would bring you some kind of crazy props when recruiting or something. It was quite absurd.

Because that is what Georgia Southern fans threw at us. GayState, ring any bells? I don't know how many times I've heard that from Southern fans. If you are going to generalize and bring up the ranting and raving, it went both ways.

Yea I doubt they end up looking like that, it's probably an exaggeration to demonstrate reuse of existing structure.

Just letting you know how it enters into the discussion and always has. Everything GSU is substandard including the Dome. Then we respond.

Look there are at least two posters on this board that actually cover GSU sports and have talked to recruits for 3 or 4 years to know that wwhen they are bought into the GSU Locker Room at the Georgia Dome they go ape crap nuts. Its the Georgia Dome. Its very cool to say you got to play there for kids. And as I said as options go it aint a bad one for a startup. The Ted will be even better because well we will own it and its the freakin Ted.

My stance has always been that the Dome is a horrible environment for a college football game. I don't recall ever going down the "black gay ghetto city" path....so I'm not sure what you're getting at there.

I've seen the images from inside your locker room at the Dome. There's a nice couple of signs in there and a rug....not really anything worth boasting about.

However, I agree that if this is done, you'll definitely have something to be proud of and show off. I've actually been secretly hoping your admin would drop the ball on this (as they have on many things) and the perfect opportunity to legitimize your football program (and your whole athletic department to some degree) would slip away. Alas we're not that lucky. I'm definitely interested to see how it turns out if ya'll can work out the funding.

"GayState" was used as a play on words. same as thUGA. im pretty sure, outside of that, nothing was ever brought up about homosexuality, or race.

Now I'm sure we brought up plenty about walking around GState campus and having beggars and homeless ask for change, and getting mugged on the way to games, but that has nothing to do with race or sexual preference.

The ranting and raving as you put it has ALWAYS been in response to trolling about how horrible GSU and the Dome are for being in a black gay ghetto city...ALWAYS...like now. Nothing occurs in a vacuum and we dont just randonmly start lauding the Dome. Back on topic.

My stance has always been that the Dome is a horrible environment for a college football game. I don't recall ever going down the "black gay ghetto city" path....so I'm not sure what you're getting at there.

Then you just started posting yesterday and likely dont have a gsufans login. Carry on.

Back on topic.

I ignore those arguments like I do many on our board when they're completely asinine. In regards to the lack of a quality college football environment at the Dome, Becker has validated our comments.

As for all the other, I apologize for other posters cause it's uncalled for, but I've never used that as a basis for my argument against your use of the Dome.
