Actually, beer and wine are sold in the Club Level at The Rock. IIRC, it's about $4 for a 12oz can.

RE: A question about beer at SBC fb games
Isn't there an NCAA rule against selling alcohol at on-campus stadiums?

No. Cajun Field is on campus. It's left up to the discretion of the conference and school. The S-BC does not disallow alcohol sales, but individual schools make their own decisions.

Little Rock doesn't have a football team but beer and wine is sold to the general public at basketball games.

Why would there be a rule against it?
Now it is odd to see beer sold at Troy, but it is a tobacco free campus. However, that's in place to make some up the hill feel better.

I dunno. Why don't all SEC teams have it? Bama would make bank selling alcohol to 110,000 fans every Saturday.
If there's an SEC rule against it. Why?

Don't know, I don't follow the SEC. Couldn't care less if they were selling baby sperm whales for $5 a piece.
My guess is they have enough donors giving that they don't have to try and make revenue in other areas that could come with baggage.

Think of it as a college Blue Law, and the SEC is late to the game with it.

Went to APP-LSU in 2008, no beer there. Went to APP-Michigan in 07, no beer, nothing at ECU either.

There is no rule against beer at CUSA games as they sold it at the FedEx Forum for Memphis basketball games. I doubt there is a prohibition against beer in the AAC either as I know that Temple sells beer at its basketball games and I very seriously don't think Memphis is going to stop. I've been to ECU football games too. No beer sold in the stadium, but that may be a school or maybe even a NC State Law, but not a conference prohibition. Don't know about the Big 10, but as previously posted, the SEC does have a prohibition against alcohol sales in general public areas.

I had no idea the SBC schools sell beer. That...is just awesome! I don't mind bringing airplane bottles in, but I'm a beer guy and would much prefer that. I wonder if App has any plans to do this, or if NC prohibits it?
I have been to games at UNC, Wake, NC State, Charlotte, and Tennessee and no beer sales at any of them. The Kick-Off Classic at the Georgia Dome is the only time I've seen it sold.
Edit. Never mind, I see it's against NC law. Bummer.

With the large crowds present it would be impossible to monitor the underage drinking.

NFL does it all the time. I don't think that's the reason.

I'm sure there is plenty of underage drinking going on already. Selling beer to to people of the legal drinking age won't change that. I'm sure there will be stiff penalties for anyone buying it and giving it to minors.

Yeah there is, but if they serve it and a kid gets hurt them some lawyer will turn it into the school contributing to the delinquency of a minor cause they have deeper pockets than the 21 year old that hands the 20 year old the beer.

Either that, or you have to hope Jonesboro voters choose to make the county Wet one day...but as long as the churches in town are against it, it will never happen.
Sounds like Boone up until 10ish years ago. They would make sure to schedule the beer vote during Spring Break for years. Finally it passed and they haven't looked back. LBTD passed in 2009 and the night scene really took off.
At one of the LBTD hearings an old lady walked up to the mic and told the town council "if you pass this bill, the blood of our children will run in the streets". It was basically churches versus business owners.
App only sells it in the Club Section of KBS and the HCC. A cold beer and a Hebrew National hot dog or Tapp Room taco is really good. You can BYOB down the right field line at the baseball stadium as it's technically not a part of campus. We use to have to be more covert about it cause the cops would give us grief, but now they don't even bother as long as we self-police.
