I will not bore you with our record crowd stats except to say we own the state record of over 6,000.I'm sure several SBC schools(Cajun-over 10,000 ?) could blow away any WKU record.Again just an observation.

For us, 1,009 is a gigantic crowd. No ASU Sport outside of football draws well. Getting a capacity plus crowd out to watch a baseball game here is amazing.

You've got to understand that the baseball team hasn't made an NCAA Regional in 20 years, hell, the simple fact that we are in 2nd place in league with 7 games left is unheard of. We've never given our fans an opportunity to show up. Getting this many for the Cajuns proves there are baseball fans amongst our fan base...we just have to do something to make them want to show up.

Chief, any chance your coach will put up some type of screen to block the outfield view. Freeloaders have no place in NCAA athletics

Cut your sarcastic crap. Texas has a whole outfield set up for people who don't pay; including sitting on top of RV's, buses and lifts along right center to right field foul line. (on the other side of the fence, of course) Plus along the whole left field to left center fence (beyond the bullpen) people tailgate all game long and watch.....free....and this is a 7K baseball stadium. Can't say UT is a slouch baseball program; unless you don't pay attention to anything not Cajun related.

Maybe UT should fix that. Sounds like a potential untapped revenue source to me.

UT doesn't need the revenue, no other athletic program in the country brings in more revenue. Season ticket sales were over $50 Mil that last numbers that I could find. But it is interesting that programs on the lower end of the economic food chain gives free viewing to people parking or tailgating in a certain area. We are not talking about people sitting on the roof of a house or viewing the games from apartments.

I was responding to Chiefs complaints about the hundreds staying in their cars and not coming thru the turnstiles, hampering their attdc numbers. Now, kindly get off my ***

No...I guess I don't get out much... although I have been to Corpus which makes me kind of understand your bad attitude. All the best, though

Love you like a biscuit

Thank goodness. I hate cornbread.

Corpus isn't so bad when you lived in Austin for 32 years. Besides, love the water and being able to go to some form of professional baseball. Even if it's AA ball. Laid back and slow paced. I'm old. 03-shhhh

Corpus is one windy son of a gun, though.

12-10 GSU at the stretch. Unreal.

Most of the central time games that started an hour later are now within a half inning or so of catching up to this game.

CatMom you have to remember Louisiana fans have the best 3 year stretch in their football history and conf wise all they get is one tie. Some of their fans are very insecure.05-stirthepot

Had to come back to this. No, that (sadly) would be football. UT fans actually have respect for our baseball and, occasionally (believe it or not), will show up at our baseball games (when UT is away)

Panthers win 15-10 to take their second straight conference series. Have won 6 of their last 8 since being swept by Texas State.

UALR going to lose so GSU has a 2 game cushion on them. Was tied with ULM going into today and a half game behind Troy. WKU is tied in the 8th with ULM and Troy is losing 6-2.
