I believe the new colors have already been announced some time ago. They correspond to the new ETSU homepage that was released a little while back.

Gold is Pantone 123 (Hex #FFC61E)
Blue is Pantone 282 (Hex #002654)

The guy from West Virginia wants our colors to look like West Virginia's. I guess not shocking. I was told the yellow baseball uniforms we wore earlier this year was kind of a preview of the new "gold" we would use from here onout.

A shield with an E in the middle, yeah that makes me think of ETSU everytime!! Or maybe one of those home security companies. Hmm yeah I am going with the home security. The Tennessee in the middle of the E is cute I guess. Bleh. A ton of other schools use a shield but most of them seem a bit more fancy. At least the mountain logo had a connection to the area, it was a bit dated but I think better then that. It looks like something cranked out in under 5 minutes with about 1 of that devoted to thinking it up.

I do not know what the other options on the table was. But I certainly expected something a bit more substantial than an E in a shield. Hopefully the athletic one won't be this bad.

I kinda like it. I wonder if the "E" does all that we want it to, but if its replacing that awful 80's mountain backdrop logo then its a big step up.

My favorite logo has always been the ET. I loved that on our football helmets. For some reason I have always been partial to letters on a football helmet instead of some logo. I think it would be neat to have the new E on our helmet.

A new article reveals that our new athletics logo will be revealed later in the year. It will still be a version of Bucky.

The "E" shield is the perfect logo if ETSU was a private preparatory academy dedicated to following the highest principles with the greatest love, as characterized by moral integrity, intellectual vitality, discipline, compassion, humor, and joy.

I always liked the one with the sword and Bucs written across the top of the sword.

Other options must have been terrible.

Can't make the connection very well between the state of Tennesse and the T in ET. Its hard to even express the connection.

Athletics logo proposal. Found this from a google search. Can't even verify any of these are in the running for the new logo, but thoughts?

Of these, concept 1 is the best and 3 is the worst. I like our current logo better than any of these though.

Agree. The current Bucky is much better than these and number 3 is awful.
