Her doctor came out and told us that brain surgery went well. They have removed a blood clot and part of her skull. The issue is swelling and theyre doing everything they can to reduce it.
She is being kept in a medically induced coma "indefinitly." She will not be allowed to wake until they are sure she can handle it. The pain wracking her body must be intense.
I have been told that she will NOT require facial reconstruction surgery, which we believed would be the case until moments ago. Her nose is broke and the eye socket is fractured, but the plastic surgeon isn't going to be needed now.
We're looking at months, perhaps years of therapy here. I'm terrified ya'll, I just dont know what I'm going to do. This woman has been my everything for so long that I can't go on without her. I know the Lord has a plan for everything, but right now I'm struggling with the cruelty of this situation.
Thank you all for your prayers. This community has been a source of happiness and sometimes sadness, but it's MY community. You all are very important to me, this board is very important to me, and I hope God will bless you all...after he's done with us.
