1. Southern did not have 19 starters out. That is the biggest misinformation ever. MAYBE 19 starters from spring practice or something? Or maybe 19 players total? Check the depth chart for the Savannah State game and the UF game.

18 similar starters. Give me a freakin break with your 19 starters out.
2. I completely agree the style of offense played a factor. Because UF didn't give two flips to prepare for it. They were in the midst of their worst season in 30 years, playing for an unpopular coach with a quarterback who at that point could barely throw the ball more than 10 yards down field because of a shoulder injury. There were some motivational issues.
3. The USC/UGA game is an even worse argument. First of all comparing two different games is moronic. But I was at all three games. Trust me. UF didn't play any better against USC than they did Southern. Muschamp had a good game plan and kelvin taylor ripped off two nice runs in the first half. That's it. There was nothing special they did against USC that they didn't do against Southern.
4. Stats are accumulated throughout the season. Sure UF had a top 10 defense. They also had that level of talent on the field at certain points of the season. If you are saying that UF had a top 10 defense on that day on the field than you are the biggest moron ever. UF first 5 games (healthy to somewhat healthy defense) allowed 217 yards per game. Last 7 games they allowed 383 yards per game.
Having said all of that, I swallowed my pride long ago and congratulated Southern for its biggest win in program history. My previous post was to simply point out that was their only win ever against an FBS opponent and should not be used as an argument that they should expect to be able to simply handle lower level SEC opponents. I also already admitted that wasn't what the poster said and that I had overreacted. Anyone else want to try me with some BS?
Pretty moronic to make a blanket statement of no FBS wins before the Florida game. A little bit of IQ put to work would quickly show that nearly all the games were against top 25 or better teams.
But, maybe you think a FCS team should beat top 25 teams.
Heck, GAST cant even beat an FCS team, I would have loved to see them play such a bad UF team.
I believe that UF's defense had those rankings even after they played us. So who was missing from their defense that lowered them so far from those rankings on the day they played us? I thought most of their injuries were on offense leading to their bad offense?
And uhm.. yea! They gave up a lot of yardage on their last few games!
They played Georgia Southern and Florida State! I think that had a lot to do with the big numbers late in the season.
So we had 19 Scholarship players out. The way we were beat up, they probably all had a starting position at some point in the season.
Aren't UF's backups supposed to be 100 times better than our backups? Or even 10 times better than our starters?
Guess that makes them about 10,000 times better than GAST's starters?
This gast fan is "the biggest moron ever" -
