Woah, Okoloji is a former Big East recruit! I still see him as a back-up PF behind Ward. But maybe their is some more potential from him (another long-shot)
I have a friend how has seen play Okoloji play all his games at Mason; he is not a fan of his offensive game, at all.
But, he was asked to be a Harrison and I'm (and this fan) isn't sure that is his game.
I see him as a defender first, and shooter, without range, second.
If there is a player who might flourish in a different scheme it might be Okoloji.
Scoring on this team will be at SF, SG and PG. I don't see a double digit scorer at PF or C.

I bet you Ward is our 30 min power forward. So there should be some scoring from that position.

RE: Men's Hoops So Where are we now?
I really, really wonder if Forbes goes to MSU if Eron Harris commits soon to State (Eron Harris is a big timer, 6' 3" SG with more muscle than Forbes, and 17 PPG at W. Virginia - who turns that down?????)
http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20140...toward-MSU
I had Tweeted with a 'recruiting analyst' in mid-Michigan last week and he was pretty sure it was MSU (for Forbes).
I'll hold out hope for Forbes until he commits somewhere. I believe he'd be an excellent choice for scholarship #13.
As I understand it, his GF and child are there (Lansing) and we really wants to get home (or as close as possible). Some schools would be automatically disqualified (Oakland and UDM - both Horizon - same conference as CLE State). Schools like EMU, CMU are the next closest and I'd guess EMU is much more desirable (sorry CMU fans reading this post).

RE: Men's Hoops So Where are we now?
Here is a nice article on where MSU stands at SG:
Eron Harris - expected to commit tomorrow and sit out a year.
Forbes - apparently really wants to come to State.
Aherns - 2015 verbal who plays both PG/SG.
I see a numbers problem. I don't see how Izzo adds three players who do or can play SG. Valentine will be a junior in the fall.
http://www.mlive.com/spartans/index.ssf/...nsfer.html
I really think Forbes ought to come to EMU and have a nice career and be about one hour from Lansing.

I'm not sure how to respond, but if Gary Waters is asked (by Forbes) he could have informed comments.
Gary certainly knows EMU extremely well. Believes he knows Murphy very well (although I don't think their paths have crossed other than a game here and there.)
All of this said, other than '79 and myself, I haven't heard 'EMU' mentioned for Forbes.
It is mostly 'makes sense' speculation.

Given his historical stats, I see Okoloji as back up PF. And will be a solid one at that.
If none of our centers Ajavi, Samuels, and/or Hunter pan out, he might get some time at backup center.
I am a little more confident with the stock of SF with Price, Ward, and Nazione. So I assume one will be moved over to PF.
Who knows how players progress from year to year, recover from injuries, etc. everyone will earn their spot I suppose.

This is going to be a fascinating team. Three returning starters, an interesting transfer sit out and a large group of mostly experienced newcomers.

Steve, I agree. Originally thought next year might be a back step with the loss of Riley and Bryant. And that still may be the case. But I am definitely intrigued by the new-comers and should still be competitive.

Simple answer Dennis, they are only looking to take ONE of the three transfers.

Oops, sorry for the confusion. The sit out is Price.
BTW, I've seen Hunter listed at 6' 8", 9", 10" and 11".
BUT, looking at the A&M photo he looks more like 6' 8" than taller:
http://aamusports.com/roster.aspx?path=m...oster=114&
There are other players 6' 8" - 7' 1" and Hunter matches up with the shorter ones.

Regardless of whether he is 6'8 or 6'11 he will compete for minutes at center and in my eyes 3 average centers is better than 2 average centers.

Don't be surprised if Forbes decides to stay at Cleveland St. And by the way the hardship transfer rules have gotten much more difficult.
BTW, has anyone, besides you and I, mentioned EMU and Forbes in the same sentence????
And, of course, there are still players out there like Albert and Clyburn and maybe many more who play the same position as Forbes.

No to your first question, second yes there are but not many who averaged 15 points a game as a Div. I player. We'll see what Forbes decides. My daughter who was one of his high school teachers says he's an excellent all around person with great academics. Every program wants a Bryn Forbes type person in their program. If the MSU thing doesn't work out I'm sure Bryn will weigh our his other options.
