The big meeting is late May. No idea what this was about. May have just gotten together in confunction with some other event.

He lives and breathes basketball. Not married. From Long Island.

It only made sense that they gave us that power to vote. They wanted us to approve of who our future conference mates would be.
You are so far ahead of others normally and very much in the know, you must have just misread it when you saw it about a year ago.

I have heard from reliable sources that the Sun Belt had turned it's attention from current FCS teams to current FBS teams, aka UMASS.

If Colonels12 is right, I guess we should expect to see UMass added before long. I guess we would want them next year so they would have to pay $250,000 to the MAC to let them go after this year.

I wish I was wrong. My source is public and Liberty fans have seen it.

We have seen it but we also saw rumors where JMU was in... where MoSt was in... where EKU was in.... where Umass was in.... where Liberty was in. It changes daily. We will all see in a few short weeks what happens. Until then the speculation continues.

If true, UMass may want time to negotiate as low a departure penalty as they can get. May be almost July 1st before we hear
anything if so since FBSers don't have to notify the NCAA until just before July 1st.
That still will not settle things permanently though. Temporary decision.

FSB schools...hmm...other than UMASS, Maybe UAB wants to be part of a conference more east centric since they would be put in the West division of CUSA. And then going out on a limb here, pulling S. Miss in time to let Idaho go.
But, I think UMass since they are full transition is the scenario it is going.to be.

All I've heard on the UMass end is that UMass is open to just about anything. Just need a conference home for football. You guys will get some basketball games for your troubles.
