Trent Miles? After GSU's year last year?

Surprising

How does Hudspeth and Miles both get mentioned in the same sentence? I think Trent Miles is light years better than Curry and appears to be a good coach, but that's mighty high praise given to a team that just went defeated.

Give him a couple of years, then maybe.

Yea, Georgia State went winless. While I'm glad Miles is at Ga State and I saw improvement from his team, I still don't see him being a coach on the rise. At some point, its really all about winning and losing. USA fans know that all too well.

The consensus is when GSU will start winning not if. His resume and those are his Senior Staff are not what you would think of in the SBC.

Maybe you do know. But 6-6 is extremely respectable given the age of your program. With the transfers and retention on offense, USA could have a really good year. I don't expect anyone to have a better offense than Troy, but with two (or three I'm told) Alabama receivers on the roster, it's a game changer. We'll see how the season goes. Best of luck except one.

Not trying to talk down on Georgia State but this can be read two ways.

"Georgia State went 0-12 in Miles’ first season, but the Panthers made progress and were competitive in Sun Belt play by losing three games by a touchdown or less".

1. They are getting better.
2. He can't coach in close games.
Either way you don't put a 0-12 coach on this list for any reason. He may very well end up being a good coach but at 0-12 and 20-48 for his career. I need to see more. A lot more before adding him to this kind of list.

Its like the third list he has been on since last year so obviously people who are paid to write for a living disagree with you.

Don't feel that way at all. Think you have a good media market and basketball team and love the fact you are a public school. But football to this point leaves much to be desired.

Setting the bar kinda high there aren't we. If we win 5-6 games next year it would be great for App and the conference as a whole. Now if we stink up the joint the way Ga State has(so far) then I would be shocked and it wouldn't be a very good add for the Sunbelt.

You do realize that USA went 2-10 two years ago right? You are likelier to go win 0-2 games than you are to win 6

You are 1-16 against FBS opponents. I promise we will have more than 1 win against an FBS by the end of our first year. Not hating on GSU but you guys are really bad at football right now. That's a fact.

hasn't USA been around for all of 4 years or something? And most of that competition was against small schools. No offense to USA, but they don't have near the history as App. To compare App transitioning to the Sun Belt to USA is pretty ridiculous.
