Make that top 3 in EVERY poll last week. Lots of losses in the top 10 this week should keep us up there despite the UNO loss. This team is downright scary..

That UNO loss was a ball-buster, dropping the Cajuns from #6 down to #13. With the MickeyNeese win and the sweep of UALR, we've climbed back to #7. I guess I should just look on the bright side and hope that the UNO loss was a wake-up call for the boys.

And yeah, the polls should be interesting this week as there were lots of losses sprinkled amongst the top 5.

Playing UNO was the ballbuster. If we win that game, we're still right around where we are now, maybe a spot higher. Not playing that game, we'd be #2 or 3 in RPI

RE: Sun Belt conference RPIs (as of 4/13)
One of the regional reporters for the Belt asked Kendall Rogers at Perfect Game how the SBC could get two teams into a regional. He listed two ways.

1. ULL does not win the SBC Tournament
2. Arkansas State goes on a major run: Would need to win the home series with the Cajuns, and beat Ole Miss at home OOC, and get a sweep or two out of their other league sets

In other words...we need the Cajuns to lose the tourney

Wouldn't #16 help out the league RPI a bit? Just sayin'.

If either team goes on a serious run, winning a ton of games, I could see an at large potentially. Though as an ASU fan, my primary goal right now is to finish in a different tournament 4 team bracket from ULL.

You have 19 games left, 3 against us when our starting rotation should be back in tact and you have too many bad losses already. I afraid, the only shot is winning the Conference Tourney. As for staying out of our Bracket, you are currently on that path. We really need a second team in the regionals..

Outside of the UAM game...we don't have a bad loss.

Re checked your losses, yea, outside of UAM, UTA and Creighton only ones over 100. Now you got me concerned for our series up in the boro. You guys always make me take extra Tum's. So win out, except on May 2-4 and when we meet in the championship game in the tourney...04-cheers

And UAM technically doesn't count since they are non D1.

For what its worth, I had a conversation with a scout at the Texas State/ASU game who had been watching You guys play ULM two weeks earlier. He said we match up decently well with you guys. No one matches up great, but with the game in Jonesboro we could take a game, and maybe threaten for a series win under the right circumstances.

Well, if our performance in the foul weather UNO game is any indication, your probably be praying for those "right circumstances" being high wind, intermittent rain and lingering arm problems in Rob and Milburn or a serious case of food poisining on the team.. From our prospective, loosing any series from from this point on would probably cost us a national seed. So forgive me if I say "NOOOOOOOOOO"..04-jawdrop

Hopefully we get a nice strong wind blowing in. Knock a few of those homers into long fly outs.

The way to sneak illicit drugs into Tulane is to roll it into a baseball bat. No one would think of checking that.

It does count as an RPI penalty … specifically a penalty of .0022 (home loss to a non-D1 team).

Also, the NCAA Selection committee will consider this a "bad loss".

Obviously. But at this point, its our only bad loss, which means if we can win our games against you guys and Ole Miss, we stand a chance to enter the conversation.
