I'm being spammed by email notications of new threads. I once found a way to stop them, but it only worked for a while and now I can't find a way to stop them.

You want us to create more new threads you say?

Did you get notified about the new thread that you created? That, at least, would be a little funny.

You get notified every time a new thread is created in a feed you subscribe to is created... so unsubscribe to the feed and you won't get the notifications.

Well, I don't subscribe to the Rice group. But I also don't subscribe by Default. Go to Edit Options, and make sure Default Thread Subscription Mode is Do Not Subscribe (what I have). Maybe that fixes it, or maybe something else is overriding it. I don't ever get notified on threads. I only want to be notified of PMs and am set accordingly.

I don't find anything about subscribing to feeds. If there's a screen for that it's well-hidden.

My default is Do Not Subscribe.

Are you sure? I've accidentally subscribed to the Rice thread when I was careless and was trying to click "Mark this Forum as Read" but instead clicked the subscription link right beside it. Make sure that link (right below the new thread button on the Rice forum page) says "Subscribe." If it says "Unsubscribe" then click it.

It says "Subscribe". And in my profile it says "You are not subscribed to any forums."

Yeah, I wanted to first ask here to make sure I wasn't missing anything blindingly obvious.

I've been having this problem, too, since I switched to the CSNbbs app.

Me too dang it. It is filling up my email quickly.

I'm pretty sure it's the app as Mom suggests... but perhaps not. I'm sure GTS knows, but someone actually having the problem will have to contact him to give the specifics of their issue.

Yup it worked! I haven't received any new ones since I unsubscribed.
