Making a reference guide for friends so when they ask about SBC programs, they all watch the SEC so I wanted to give a SBC/SEC comparison to make the conversation quick

Alabama- Troy (Most Conference Championships)
Florida- Louisiana (Has on of the best game day atmosphere's and in one of best recruiting areas)
LSU-Arkansas State (annual conference contender with great recent success)
Georgia- Georgia Southern (great location, great potential, great history)
Auburn- Appalachian State (tremendous home field environment, exciting programs, tons of recent success and history)
Arkansas- Texas State (Programs that both failed to reach their potential thus far)
Texas A&M- USA (program on the rise and bright futures)
Mississippi State- New Mexico State (#2 teams in home state's both under perform)
Ole Miss- ULM (academics are important, mid pack program)
Kentucky- Georgia State (bball)
Vanderbilt- Idaho
(now that James Franklin is gone, Vandy will return to their Idaho ways)

You're seriously comparing TXST; a 2nd year FBS team, to Arkansas? Not our fault they have been rubbish all this time in IA/FBS.

I would be embarrassed just to be associated with Arkansas.

Lol, I'd be embarrassed to have a pig as a mascot and not a meal.

I was in Memphis this weekend wearing ASU gear, and someone asked if we were the Razorbacks.

I had to resist the urge to say something not nice.

More than once, to each one, since 2005. Checkmate.

Remember who was in the belt in 2011 and what teams does not count in this scenario.

If you meant teams in/were in the belt in 2011 then my bad, as far as I'm concerned it could be true over the new teams as well, but I'm not certain that's why I commented.

It's all good. I've heard good thinks about the stadium up in Boone. I'm excited about traveling there. 04-cheers

You going to make the trip to Statesboro this year?

If I'm still in Alabama, I'm going to every game on the schedule except ULM and Idaho. We have six home games, two away games in Alabama (UAB & USA) and two Georgia games (UGA & GS). Ten games right in my backyard. What a great schedule.

As soon as I save up enough money, which could be real soon, I'm moving about half an hour south of Miami. I'm torn between an approaching football season and getting out of tumbleweed town for good. This town has less than 20,000 people in it and it's 40 miles of nothing (seriously just cows and hay bails) in all directions until you hit Montgomery or Dothan. I love Troy Football, but life is out there, you know?

I didn't think you could leave Troy Alabama. I thought there were laws to prevent people from leaving. It is a small southern hole.

ULM has led the Sun Belt in APR for two years in a row and then there's this story HERE.

Only problem I have with that link... Since when did North Carolinians consider UNC a safety net school?
