Best Case
What would be the best case scenario for the belt?

1. Add Missouri State and get this coveted school...Football can wait until 2015.

2. Add New Mexico State's oly sports

3. Add Liberty...as they may now have the votes.

4. Add Massachusetts as football only.

Football

East

Appalachian State
Georgia Southern
Georgia State
Liberty
*Massachusetts
South Alabama
Troy

West

Arkansas State
*Idaho
Louisiana Lafayette
Louisiana Monroe
Missouri State (2015)
New Mexico State
Texas State

Olympic Sports

Appalachian State
Arkansas State
Arkansas Little Rock
Georgia Southern
Georgia State
Liberty
Louisiana Lafayette
Louisiana Monroe
Missouri State
New Mexico State
South Alabama
Texas Arlington
Texas State
Troy

With this makeup and a little time the Sun Belt will shine!

I'm actually cool with that makeup. Umass, Mo St, nmsu all sports, and Liberty would be okay adds for the belt. With nmsu, mo st, and liberty being programs that want to be in the belt.

Actually

1) NMSU in all sports
2) Missouri State in all sports

Would be ideal.

No need to go over 12 or take multiple moveups

No way, no how does a "best case" involve a Liberty invite.

I think the conference feels they need to honor the supposed promise many posters claim they gave app state. Also, the eastern schools will definitely want something no way they would let there be western adds only they would become powerless pretty soon.

I'm to the point where I don't care who we add just do it already. I don't understand why these things take so long. Ask if they say no then move on.if the world operated like that then things would go farther.

Keep it simple and add James Madison and you are done. When did Missouri State become a "coveted school"?

NMSU would jump at any chance to get all sports into one conference, no matter the makeup.

Best Case
Best case IMO is still adding JMU and Missouri St and NMSU all sports

If JMU says no then add liberty.

I am skeptical of any projected outcome that involves NMSU all-sports. West Virginia has more Big XII teams within less than 1000 miles than NMSU would in the Sun Belt

In this order.

Add JMU all sports best.
Add UMASS football only until JUM is ready.
Add Missouri State all sports.
Add EKU all sports.
Add Jax State all sports.

Have yet to envision a good outcome involving that school in Lynchburg.

I think JMU has made it clear they are not coming to the Sun Belt as an all-sports member.

The Sun Belt didn't promise App Liberty. They promised them that they'd try to find a close partner. The Belt has tried with JMU. That obligation is done.

Give them some of Idaho's travel money and be done with it.

Does the SBC really need non-football playing schools? Add NMSU for all sports and have an all sports requirement for any new members. There are other conferences that would take UALR and UTA.

UALR and UTA are good conference members...there is no need for them to go elsewhere. Since UALR and UTA don't have football...Idaho and Massachusetts take their spots in football.

James Madison has had ample time to make it's intentions known...time to move on! They can wait for the next ship to arrive. Missouri State has been coveted since the 1990's...longer than Texas State was even a thought.

Ill glady be behind Mizzou State. As long as it keeps the Flamers, far far away.
