Ha! I just remembered that we beat Auburn 3-2 earlier in the season. Combined with the two wins against UT, that makes the Bucs 3-0 against SEC opponents. .....wait for it......let it sink in.....Yep!.....ETSU is 3-0 against SEC opponents. Lover is right, though. At our level, it's the conference that really counts . . . even though it's excessively cool to say "ETSU is 3-0 against SEC opponents." Go ahead, folks. Say it out loud . . . it sure sounds good! ETSU is 3-0 against SEC opponents!

ALSO, we're 1-0 against ranked opponents! (Kind of makes those 7 conference losses look a bit puzzling, doesn't it?)

and we dropped the first game to KSU last night.

Skole always seems to follow up a big win with a loss or a series of losses. He even went as far as pitching Tuesday night "by committee" in order to save the starters for this weekend. This approach does not appear to be working and wish he would just keep the normal rotation throughout. It is common sense that if you can beat the big name teams then you at least should be competitive in a "lower" league. These performances kind of remind me of the basketball team with their consistent inexplicable losses.

3-0 against the SEC, .500 overall.

Well you should be pleased as punch, 0-4 since beating UT including swept in a conference series and now under 500 both overall and in conference but Hey none of that matters, we beat UT

Is this enough to finally get rid of Skole? I mean seriously one conference tournament title in how many years?

I agree he really should go. Beating UT, while important, is simply not enough. I see the situation as similar to what we now have in basketball. So much potential that we never quite seem to reach.

I've said it for years. The standard seems to be two different ones, atleast from a fans perspective. I mean at least Murry has won a bunch of games and been multiple postseason appearances, as well as put some banners up in the rafters.
Skole has had one, ONE in 15 years! 15 years of .500 or less baseball and a fluke year where without one pitcher who was off the charts would've been, a .500 team.
I guess it's simply people just don't care about baseball (which they should given that pretty new facility) or folks either like Skole and are more willing to make excuses about his mediocrity.
I mean hell, they ran off Karen Kemp and she won multiple championships, it's time to run off the guy who's had one.

Just like basketball, we should look better in baseball next year in a weaker conference.

26-28, 13-13 and 6th seed in the tournament, Wow.. how.. average, how Skole.

Does anyone know his contract situation? How many years left, etc.? Generally I am a fan of Skole and think that he has done the best he could with the resources given. However, his critics have more and more of a leg to stand on every year and it might be time for a change.

Below .500 overall and a bottom three half seed in the tournament. Pitiful effort.
