Eagles are really going all out for this. You find this when you visit their athletic page.

In all fairness chief I really don't think a lot of sunbelt fans understand exactly what they are inheriting with our two programs. ish gets crazy, especially when we play each other.

I'm beginning to sense that the two programs hate one another. Am I on track?

It's more than that. Yes, we hate each other, but we respect what the other football program brings to the table. We even secretly root for the other team when they are playing anyone else, which most rivals don't do, but we want to be the only ones to beat them. We love to hate each other.

Yea we were pretty "pissed" when geo south beat Florida, but we were fine in the end because in our opinion Michigan win was much better

Just wait until the week before this game. Goats, Stink, Hillbillies, Rednecks, Referees, Cheating will all be words mentioned in the hundreds of posts about this game.

I loved it when Georgia Southern beat Florida.
Would like for them to go 11-1 each year, with us decimating the Eagles.

is it football season yet?!?!?!? At least with it being in Statesboro, the college girls will have all of their teeth and won't look like they've been bellying up at the country buffet every day. Not sure how you guys deal with all those butch mountain women.

Ok...GaSou is changing offenses and I can't help but think that it'll be an issue for at least 6 games into the season. What has the spring given in terms of confidence in the change, or the lack thereof?

Well it's good that the GaSo women can buy false teeth now.
Just because you are looking at expecting women when you come to the mountains must tell you any available women run for the hills.

The biggest news coming out of spring practice so far is that we can throw the ball after all! 03-shhhh

Couple of hundred or so not counting any pep band or anything.

I booked two nights in Savannah a while back. Looking forward to the trip.

I was glad to see our games for Thursday and Friday were road games but it does hurt attendance and tailgating.....TV exposure causes real fans to hurt a tad....but you need something for all the sports bars....and I guess it is exposure.

Hard to tell yet. We have only had 3-4 spring practices so far. From all accounts we are going to throw the ball a good bit more (which wouldn't be hard to do). I don't think you will see much flexbone but shotgun or pistol formation for the most part. We haven't had a spring scrimmage yet so I guess we will know more then.

But I can tell you this --- the Ga. Southern fanbase expects to win no matter what the coaching change. If Fritz wants to endear himself to the fanbase he better be very competitive in the Sun Belt games at least.

The results could be like WKU moving up or like TxSt...here's a red pill and a blue pill...you choose...

Son of a b not the stAte game. The two most exciting conference home games got moved to weekdays. They know how to pick the fun ones but kill attendance.

I feel ya... I do.

Navy @ USA -- Friday (Black Friday at that)
Troy @ USA -- Friday

Which means Mississippi State @ USA will be a terrible weather/hurricane day or something. That is our luck.

I'm betting the most happy about this schedule are the TxState fans who will have a pile of Cajuns tailgating on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in October in San Marcos.
Just think of the Cajun cookin' you guys are going to be able to mooch.

Yeah I was super happy until that game was moved to a Tuesday for ESPN2.

2014 Sun Belt-ESPNU Football Schedule

Wednesday, August 27
Abilene Christian at Georgia State – 6 p.m. CT (ESPNU)

Thursday, August 28
Wake Forest at Louisiana-Monroe – 6 p.m. CT (ESPNU)

Thursday, September 25
Appalachian State at Georgia Southern – TBA (ESPNU)

Friday, October 24
Troy at South Alabama – TBA (ESPNU)

Thursday, October 30
Troy at Georgia Southern – TBA (ESPNU)

Thursday, November 20
Arkansas State at Texas State – 8:30 p.m. CT (ESPNU)

What's the deal with Abilene Christian?
They just moved from D-2 to 1AA last year.
Will they be a worthy opponent for Georgia State?
Guess it's the first football game, or almost first, of the season.
Was beaten by NMSU last year. Surprised this game was included.
