CUSA championship game at the Alamodome?
How about they put two courts in the Alamodome, allowing the men to play on one and the women on the other. I just don't know if the city of San Antonio and UTSA really want to do that. It is a location that Rice, UTSA, UNT, and La. Tech fans can drive to easily. It is also a location that has a lot of UTEP alumni and only about 550 miles from El Paso. San Antonio is also a tourist location with lots to do. They could also have a court that would feature CUSA on it.

you'd do better having it at the arena where the Spurs play

You can't have a tournament with both the women and men playing at one arena the first couple of days.

CUSA championship game at the Alamodome?
The Alamodome can only be configured to have one basketball arena, I don't think I've ever seen a configuration with two. I know the AT&T center can hold the men's basketball tournament and the freeman coliseum can hold the women's. They are within walking distance of each other. The only problem is that the freeman coliseum is outdated, but very well kept. Also, this area is a little farther away from downtown San Antonio.

Sure you can. Have two courts, end to end, have both games going on at the same time. The crowds would be enormous!

Could work. When the Spurs used to play at the Dome they would only use one half and used a large curtain to closen off the rest of the arena

They could do it by having the courts around what would be the endzones. They could have bleacher seating put in facing each way starting at the 45 yard lines running to about the 25 yard line. One ticket gets you into the arena and you can watch anything you want.

The freeman coliseum could also be used for early rounds of the women's tournament. Memorial Gym that was used for the early women's games is over 50 years old.

That kind of sounds like an AAU tournament. The dueling whistles and horns would be too confusing IMO.

Alamodome would also be a great location for a CUSA football championship game if they were to choose a neutral location to host the game instead of having it at campus sites. San Antonio locals would support it very well

I applaud the ingenuity. This format would probably draw a lot of fans who are simply curious. And the "uniqueness" of the format will certainly garner a lot of media coverage for CUSA.

It could work but it would be a logistical nightmare to put two basketball courts side by side with only a curtain between them.

It could work. Each court could be at around the 20 yd line of each side.

AT&T Center and Freeman Coliseum would be cool if it wasnt for the location. Not much to do on the East side other than picking up a hooker or getting in a gunfight.
