I would cream my panties if we beat every SBC team on our schedule.

I really hope you're a woman.

If we beat every SBC on our schedule, I would go out, buy panties, and then proceed to cream them...while wearing skinny jeans, high heels, hipster glasses, and a Georgia State jersey.

Those limp ninny'd, sissified, metrosapiens down near Georgia State with their cute little fashions and non-gender specific outer wear... 03-puke03-puke03-puke

Amazing on a number of levels

Thought you'd like that 05-stirthepot

I propose a "tongue-in-cheek rivalry talk" font to be used.

I agree those are very interesting games. If ULL continues to be a top team in the conference, it'll be good to compare one of our top's to one of the MW top's and an SEC middle. I know La Tech is a rivalry of sorts, but I'm not sure they will be a challenge in the second year of Holtz, especially on September 6 at Cajun Field.

I'm psyched about watching SBC games as a conference rival and I know the Cajuns will be one of the teams I have programmed for scoring alerts.

Memphis and Southern Miss use it, but I don't think anyone has noticed. We could probably take it.

I really do like Black and Blue Bowl.
After all, all words are recycled. Someone even said there were other Mountaineers, and even other Eagles, go figure.
Has both teams major colors.
Guess we could always use the minor colors and go with the
gold (yellow) and white instead. Some might call it the Chinese American Bowl then though.
Let's go with Black and Blue Bowl until we think of something better, if there is any better.

Outside of Wikipedia, I have never heard it being used before. I think it's the best name I've heard yet.

Black (App) Blue (Southern). Denotes a physical, tough, bruising battle. Fits like a glove. Hell, if you guys will start pushing it, so will we, I'm sure.

Just checked FB Schedules and with Memphis' move to the AAC, it doesn't look like this "rivalry" will move with them for the foreseeable future. I say it's ours.

Get both athletic departments on the same page, and we have ourselves an official rivalry. Hell, if App and WCU had an official rivalry, no reason we shouldn't by now.

Black and Blue Bowl. Trophy is ... ?

Black and Blue Bowl is good.
Trophy is a Good question.

We had the Old Mountain Jug with Western Carolina.
The Citadel -vs- VMI has the Silver Shako since 1940.

What might be common between the two schools?

Would be a lot of cost.

Black and Blue Bowl
something related, maybe a huge first aid kit,
black and blue stretcher would be too much,
kind of like a giant ice pack? Has to be something good.
Maybe a huge metal trophy looking Ice Bucket with team names on opposite sides.
The Black and Blue Silver Ice Bucket?

I like the Black and Blue bowl, it's been discussed on our board that someone else uses it, but hell we'll play them for it! For a trophy idea, how about something made from Pine? You guys are up in the mountains and have a lumberjack as your mascot, and pine trees are mentioned in our Alma Mater and turpentine (made from pine i think?) was invented near the site of our campus. I don't know what type of figure it could be, but I think pine could tie the 2 schools traditions together nicely.

I honestly didn't even think about the fact that a lumberjack and a mountaineer are two separate things, not even trying to be derogatory, LOL. I guess I just see the various images of Yosef and think lumberjack.
