Lol. The truth is you know the sbc is not gonna split over liberty.
This is all just a lot of venting over the fear they will.
If they do most of the anguish will be already vented by then and it will be ok.

Already stated multiple times. Thanks for clearing up what I've already said.

RE: Hypothetical: What if Liberty is invited?
Ark st. Best bet and only out is to move to the mac or cusa. But much like Jax st. They must wait until someone else expands. Then ark st will move and jax st will move to the sbc.

The whole wac east thing at leasted was discussed somewhere else other than the sbc board. It simply didnt have enough regional members to happen.

It is you who wishes to pass himself off as the all knowing oz. I simply stated that the sbc was not gonna split and form a new conference over liberty joining. And that it is flawed thinking.

Your argument is also flawed as Liberty is not joining, so everything that followed is void.

IMO the underlying problem with the SBC is that very few if ANY of its members actually want to BE in the SBC. The way everyone talks every school is looking to scoot ASAP

RE: Hypothetical: What if Liberty is invited?
Every SBC would go to say CUSA or AAC, CUSA teams would go to MWC or AAC, and everyone would go to a P5.

If Liberty comes, I won't really care. I'll be happy the 12th team talk is over and thats about it. App St and GSU were the most exciting adds because of their history. JMU or MSU would move my excitement needle a little. I'd be interested in traveling to JMU to check out the stadium.

I'd give it another month before we really start hearing anything.

Of course it wont split...because there is no way Liberty will be invited because too many teams in the league are dead set against the Flames.

Hence why you are hearing the splitting comments. Someone asked for a hypothetical, and truthfully the only answer possible is a split because there Is no way hey get into the league otherwise.

Has this Hypothesis not already been tested? Didn't the Sunbelt reject Liberty before? Something about Liberty wanting to do the same thing over and expecting a different result......

RE: Hypothetical: What if Liberty is invited?
There is very little "smoke" on an invite coming soon. Last year it was very widely speculated with considerable press that invites were coming. This year-- not much.

I keep reading these hints from Missouri St. people that they are talking to the SBC officials but all in all I am inclined to believe no one gets invited this year.

I agree. JMU seems interested in FBS but may wait for CUSA or MAC. MSU seems interested but may need more time. Personally I think if this is true then invite them and delay when they compete like UNCC or ODU in CUSA.

If SBC really wanted 12 and Liberty was the top or only only option, then they would have been invited last year or already this year.
