We will see if Grant is fired after tomorrow, but I just heard that Barbee at AU has been canned. Who does anyone see as being on the AU short list? At one time they came after the UAB BBHC, but this time I don't think so.

When was this?

AU tried to make UAB BBNC Anderson come in for an interview, but he wouldn't oblige.

Would gladly welcome any of them to join the program if Grant gets fired.

They would never be released to sign with UAB (or Auburn). I'm pretty sure Grant will be back anyway if for no other reason than to avoid this scenario from even being a possibility.

Yep. I really don't understand how many people simply refuse to acknowledge this. Maybe a great coach could have come in and won a few more games, but no coach could have fixed this mess in the amount of time some of our fans seem to expect. Here are the stats for our seniors last night:
FG 3 FT
3-7 0-0 0-1
0-6 0-4 2-4
1-7 0-3 1-5
3-4 1-2 1-3
They combined for 19 points, 17 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals, a block, and 8 turnovers
Here is everybody else:(minus Moton, his minute is irrelevant)
4-6 2-3 0-0
1-1 0-0 0-0
7-17 2-8 3-4
4-8 1-3 2-7
2-2 2-2 0-0
They combined for 48 points, 17 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks, and 5 turnovers.(all but one by Chad)

This wasn't just a one game thing either. If the guys Haase brought in were playing the same way as our seniors, I would be very concerned. At this point, I just can't be worried based off of what Haase has brought in, what he is bringing in, and what he was left with.(Let's not forget that these seniors were taught to play at the slowest pace possible, and then moved into a very different system with Haase. It's a big change, and not every player can easily adapt.)

That has (Haase ?) puzzled me all year. Why not put 4 shooters and a big man on the floor, and play drive in & kick out for a 3 ? Purifoy and Riddeau would excel in that type game.

I don't blame coach for not playing Rideau. He looked very bad when he did get minutes, and I think he's so small he may not be able to compete at the d1 level.

Purifoy has me beyond puzzled. In a few games he did contribute when he got meaningful minutes, but other times he did absolutely nothing and refused to shoot. Something was amiss with purifoy, and I'm not sure who's fault that is. I do think he should've got a little more PT, but it probably wouldn't have made a big difference.

Those are some telling numbers, but the three seniors were consider good gets when they committed to UAB.
Swing, Purifoy was considered very good recruits, and Williams..wow what a kid... yet they went backwards in their development and its Davis fault...
No its not, he coached them for 2 years and you have to remember Swing was scoring 14 points last season hitting free throws, and consider by some as able to play in Europe or NBDL.

Its Davis fault Swing went from 14 to 6. Yea okay, for what ever reason the kids did not develop, or fit the mold of what Hasse wanted...
Davis recruited big wings to play to the dribble drive, Hasse recruit to run and out athlete you. By the way Soko was the missing link here, but he was a Davis recruit...and would have sucked so good thing he left.

You are looking at a thimble in my eye when you have a plank in yours on eye.
You read the same stats I did and you bring that lame stuff, get it out of here.
I have never thought Davis was a bad coach I thought he became a bad fit for UAB.
I have stated over and over, that Hasse is going to really do good things for UAB. I am a UAB fan, not a Coach fan..
But I am not a Davis hater, nor praiser, nor tossed here or there based on others opinions.
I made an observation, that the three players, you like to bash along with XCMD contributed to the program and its beared out by facts,
See MB STAT thread, then come back, and I will smash that stuff into the cheap seats.

Does anyone ever understand what rebounder says?

Since my stats are mentioned, I will point out that anyone that has contributed significant minutes for three or four years at UAB will show up in the Top 20, due to longevity and UAB's comparatively short history, not necessarily due to greatness.

You are kidding, you have an ignore bottom on that thing, heck I have people who handles correspondence, I make very good money, live very well, DO WHAT I WANT and have only 1 person out of 700 who tells me anything.
I am too old to care what children and fools think, man my skin is so tough you would have to get a blow torch to get through it so you can be a Grammar Nazi wannabe if you wish but having 1 is enough.
You take your basic punctuation and typing skills and live with them and I will keep on doing what works for me and live how about that.

Now back to the subject at hand, first I never get to high when we win or to low when we lose, I am into health and wellness, not flipping and flopping.
