The only way you watch the tournament is to go to El Paso. Except for semi's and finals, you aren't watching the tournament unless you are there

Unless you fork over a couple of bucks and watch via C-USA streaming.

Simply a comparison in a discussion about TV exposure...nothing more.

AAC is still running on the old BE TV deal, right?

I've heard that more of the AAC games are likely to be on ESPNU / ESPNNews / sold to CBS in the future. Is that accurate?

Obviously UCONN, Memphis, and Cinci games would continue to be attractive to ESPN/ESPN2, but some of the others not so much.

I believe football was under the old BE deal, with basketball under the new AAC contract.

The rest is up to ESPN...whatever they don't want CBSSN gets.

I love ESPN3, makes watching games and replays so easy...
Ah ok. Thanks for the clarification.

Unless every thing goes to Hell in the Spring and Summer; then ECU should be pretty good this Fall. People on this board keep forgetting that it took a lot of players transferring, getting hurt and just out right quitting for ECU to be bad this year.

In football right? Because AAC Basketball is night and day from CUSA Basketball. Pretty good in AAC Basketball might get you 7th or 8th place.

FS2 could have carried CUSA games this season or at least 1 game every Saturday but chose to replay 14 UCF fights on tape delay or a car making a left turn 7000 times...

ODU is really happy to be here. However, the television package for CUSA basketball is nowhere near as good as the one for CAA basketball. Literally all but maybe 3 games were televised. Maybe it was the closer proximity of CAA schools that created better TV matchups, and maybe that ODU was predicted to really stink this year (didn't turn out that way), however, the comments here seem to indicate that other schools' fans also are disappointed.

Hopefully, it will improve next year.

in the CAA, the regional CSN channel carried a lot of our games. I guess CUSA doesn't have that connection.

The basketball deal is the AAC deal. This past years football was the final year of the Big East football contract.

I'm pretty confident Tulsa to the NCAA next year but NIT is a lock if we struggle early in the season like this year. In a leauge as strong as AAC it will get good teams in tourneys where there is total uncertainty in the CUSA. Unless, you win league regular season (NIT bid) or tourney champs (NCAA bid). Sucks for CUSA because the schools deserve better. IMO
