Several hundred, as usual, but the fans don't win the game. I predict....pain for the MTSU girls....close for about two thirds of the game, where our depth and speed take over. I'll change my score to USM by 13. However, I do see you posturing yourself for attendance smack if you lose...lol

At this point and time im not really stressing over tomorrow. Our group to be the 7th youngest team in d1 has done a hell of a job.
Win or lose, the bump in rpi and sos should be enough to have us in.
Plus, as it sits now we are the only team in the league to have a win against every one else.
The experts have had byu in for 2 weeks and our numbers have been ahead of theirs for several weeks.

Your depth and speed? No, I don't think so. The closest team to USM that we've faced in years past is UALR -- and every championship year we have played them better than before. I see the same coming here.
I'll be glad when MT blows USM out (ok ok smack done)
MT fans are always very supportive of our basketball programs and I expect they will be loud and proud tomorrow. They don't win the game but they play a part !! They don't call it the "Sixth Man" for nothing.

If we are not in something is wrong.
BYU simply has a better resume than Southern Miss: 8 top-100 RPI wins vs 5 top-100 wins
The real complicating matter now is that Bowling Green got beat in the MAC tournament. That is another bubble team, with an arguably better resume, in the mix.
At this point, it is up to the selection committee. There are about 10 bubble teams for the final few spots who each have their +s and -s. Southern Miss has fewer quality wins and a weaker OOC schedule than many of the bubble teams. But they also have fewer true negatives in the form of bad/volume losses.

Lady Raiders have only lost twice to the same opponent during the same season 1 time since 2005. Coach Insell knows how to learn from the loses and not make the same mistakes again. I'm not saying it won't be close (USM is a good team), but I'll be shocked if MT loses tonight.
Creme currently has USM as the second team in his first four out, just ahead of SDSU, Bowling Green, Crieghton and St. Mary's. So he views USM as the top mid-major bubble team. Just ahead of Southern Miss are five Power-6 schools, each with their own glaring strengths and weaknesses.
Basically, if the selection committee likes mid-majors, USM is in. If they favor Power-6, USM is out.
It adds a little extra intensity to tonight's game. It promises to be something special and I am looking forward to it.
USM 16-15 with 8:21 left in the first half. China Dow off the bench for MT is playing like she wants to win with 8 points already. Raiders starting to play their game more than they did at the start...
MT leads 23-20 with 3:55 in the first half. Raiders turning it up! Steals, blocks, and rebounds all around for the ladies. Ebony Rowe FTs coming when the game returns.
