I didn't call the Brook losers.

I was just pointing out that there are some that aren't jealous of their success, who objectively remember when Mountain Brook had a couple of kids on their basketball team who lived in a post office box.

I don't hate Mountain Brook.
I'm not jealous of Mountain Brook.

But what happened happened.

The biggest joke I see on here are the baseless accusations made by people who don't have a clue.

Not only is it a matter of public record in other instances, excuse me if I don't define the two best players on the state championship Midfield High basketball team up and moving to Mountain Brook by anything other than a lottery ticket as a "baseless accusation." I'm sure the plenty of people who understand the situation and the methods of the people on that side of town can be forgiven for not having complete documentation of what we all know is going on.

Or maybe they wanted to make the move to play with some AAU team mates and made it ON THEIR OWN. Can't seem to get that concept across to the slower ones among us.

I'll bet you were leading the charge of "recruiting" when Mtn. Brook supposedly annexed an entire neighborhood, just so they could get the best baseball player in the state. 03-lmfao

Mt Brook.will never annex any land that includes a residential property. If they do they lose the protection against bussing

When Vestavia annexed Cahaba Heights, Mountain Brook annexed a section that included retail and residential, so I guess your statement is incorrect. And only schools that accept federal DOE money (which Mtn. Brook does not) have to abide by federal DOE rules, so Mtn. Brook would not have to worry about bussing.

I never denied that there was a time when a Mtn. Brook dad helped a couple of kids come there to play basketball. I just took issue with the people who said Mtn. Brook recruits these athletes, which they don't.

The kids who go to school and play sports there, work way too hard to have their success discounted by a few sore losers.

Wrong. Mt brook wanted to annex the retail section and was about to until it was pointed out that it included a couple of townhouses. When the mt brook govt realized it would void the decision they decided against annexing the land.
