I feel lucky to have power this morning.

It is a freaking mess out there.

I don't really want to rub it in and tick any of former Memphis/Germantown neighbors and friends off BUT>>>>>> It will be 80 degrees today and there is a lot of sunshine and a slight breeze down here in Sarasota/Tampa area. I miss Memphis but I don't miss that weather that you have been having lately. Y'all be careful and keep safe.

Welp I made it this morning.. It never ceases to amaze me the goofballs that get on your butt and then pass you in this mess.. One of them I actually saw on down the road that had went off the road..I left an hour early just to get to work on time but I guess some people went to bed Sunday afternoon and didn't realize what it had done last night, yea ok, is it that hard to leave 30 min. earlier so you don 't have to put others in danger with your careless driving..

I would move to Florida in a heartbeat if I could. Just for the weather.

This has been the coldest winter I've ever seen since living in Memphis.

Glad you made it. Funny but some people think if they have 4 wheel drive on their SUV that they can drive fast and leave no space between cars.

Yep, worked at home till about 1, then went with my wife, eight year old son and our Australian Shepard for a walk in the old growth forest in Overton Park. Afterwards headed to Otherlands for hot chocolate, coffee and cinnamon toast. Awesome afternoon!

I love the cold...I wish it would stay a while longer...nothing is worse than sunny, 105, high humidity.

Just a different way of life up their (where I spent many years). They adapt. The problem in this area is the inconsistency. One day you're building a fire and two days later you're wearing shorts. Rinse and repeat. Would drive anyone batty.
