No doubt, this guy made his own bed. I just would've hoped that the UAB community would be above taking pleasure in someone else's misery.
Fair enough, but I think the prevailing attitude is that he drew first blood.
I don't know how familiar you are with the vitriol he spewed, but it was pretty damned toxic.
Weep for his family and friends? Sure. They didn't ask for any of this. Meantime, I doubt any of them are reading this.
Weep for him? Nope. Do I hope he gets his **** together? Sure! Am I going to get a chuckle out of is comeuppance? Probably.

It may have best for his family that he was caught because I suspect this has been going on for some time & that he wasn't going to quit on his own.
Strange how getting caught sometimes cleans you up.

Oh, I don't doubt that there are plenty of people who listened to his line of crap who feel like he got his comeuppance. I understand that one.
I guess I feel that it's ok to acknowledge what happened, and even to feel a little satisfaction at the guy's downfall, but be classy enough not to beat it into the ground. I suppose that's a fine line to walk and varies by the person.

My line is pretty fat I guess. I still chuckle at Bill and Monica.
