I was very pleased with their coverage of the 49ers and if App gets even half what 730am did for us it will still be pretty good. WFNZ was not a good home for us the first time we were on their station and they have a lot to prove to most Charlotte fans this time around.

Figured you would sign up with them. That should serve your purposes well. I listen to them some. Good luck this coming year.

I hope it works out, in the future I would like to see UNCC do well since it's the only other school I really thought about going to after the hoity toitys at unc chose my friend who lied about helping an outcast kid feel loved over me even though I had better academic scores, so I want y'all to have success but always lose to my mountaineers and always be second fiddle to us, but successful even then.

Honestly, I mostly feel the same way about App. Some of my closest friends went to school there.

Yea I had some good but distant friends go there, my fiancé is thinking about continuing education at UNCC as well, I converted my buddy from a niner to a mountaineer but that's a different story, as far as I'm concerned app and UNCC are the rising stars of western nc and there is no real competition past each other as far as public schools in this region; WCU is FCS, UNCG is non football in an FCS conference, and Wake Forest is a bottom dollar ACC team. So this will be either our market or UNCCs in the future, glad we got the head start

radio is still strong but like an earlier poster says it has gone to mostly talk and sports. radio signals carry farther and can reach into the boondocks to the die hard fans..dont have to pay to listen to a game..

Since ESPN730 is doing three and a half hours of pregame shows before the App State football
games will be a station that a lot of people may listen to before the games. That's longer than
the game runs.

I'm another Charlotte fan that was very happy with 730s coverage. If they do as good a job with App as they did with us, you should be pleased. I understand why Charlotte is moving to 610, but still not sure if I like it :)

I just figured it was because we offered them so much extra programming and money, but just guessing. 610 and 1660 used to be the stations I listened to all the time, but when they lost the Pack Man I kind of left them off. Didn't care for the Pack Man that much but he brought out some controversial callers and talk.
