Looking ahead to the tournament
I don't have much hope of our (or anyone) beating Ga State this year, but I do think this will be a better tournament team than we have had in many past years. We are one knock-down three point shooter (who will shoot, which eliminates Ben) away from having pretty well-rounded offense. Mo still has a few games to continue to develop. We have a defensive stopper. The thing that concerns me most is that we are virtually helpless against a good 3-point shooting team, and in the tournament someone is going to get hot.

Why can't we be the three point shooting team that gets hot?cheers

Well, no one will be on their home court. GaSt will be playing someone who has gotten a win or two, and is used to be playing on that court and environment. I'm not so sure they win. I never have liked getting a bye, although you have to figure that statistically your odds are better needing to win less games.

With this format, Ga State's limited bench will not be affected as much as if they had to play three or four days in a row. They can handle two days. But I don't think they're a cinch to win. As you know, strange things can happen in a tournament situation.04-cheers

Considering that Will and Ben and Josh could be on the floor at the same time, we easily could be that team.
