Obsevations on Isom and Hagins
If Isom should come around between now and the tournament, that would make a significant difference for us, adding some height depth and another outside shooter. Probably not enough to catch GSU, but obviously enough for us to go toe to toe with WKU.

Hagins is fearless, but there is a fine line between fearless and stupid. He needs to learn where that line it. He will not be a great player until he does.

If Isom comes around, we can beat EVERYONE in this league. Josh is not stupid. He just tries to do too much sometimes and takes unwise decisions with the ball. His great play to bad play ratio will continue to improve over the next 2+ years.

I watched the final four minutes of the game online. The guys looked as if they were "consciously trying to be unconscious" when they were not so the FTs came off bad. When it comes to being in a zone state in the middle of a game, you are either in it or not. At the foul line, our guys tried hard to look cool and nonchalant. They just quickly chucked the ball at the goal and muffed the FTs.

I read an article recently that claimed that being hyper focused can mess you up. They seemed too focused on not being hyper focused.

Just a figure of speech. I think he is one of the smarter players we have. But you are correct that he tries to do too much. Usually there is one or two hero moments in a game. The rest of the time you have to play within the flow of the game. When you try to force the flow, usually bad things happen. Josh needs to forget about the game-winning shot he made earlier in the season. If some of Ben's maturity can rub off on Josh, there is no limit to his upside.
