That's a sweet deal.

Apparently not sweet enough.

Yikes.

I don't think GaSt is having a spring game this year, and from what I hear, Myles is not a happy camper.

Will the same deal apply at the new stadium?

No idea. No details have been released. Heck there are not even final renderings of the place and they are supposed to break ground in weeks.

Stay off our boards! LOL!

And people think I am nuts for complaining about Cheryl. This is the South, how is this even a conversation?

I don't think you are nuts. This is the south, and there should be a spring game. I think CTM is doing the best he can without a budget for the game.

I know you guys are against it, but what if you hosted the spring game at another stadium in town (Herndon/Clark ATL)? I know it's not your home field, but having one outside the dome is still better than not having one at all IMO.

That's slightly frightening.

Dig first, ask for plans later! Is the DOT in charge of the project or something?

LOL! Would seem like right? Was just looking at their website and all they have on there is the conceptual drawings. Also I do not see any schedule anywhere on the net. But I am pressure they intended to break ground in March or April. Curiously quiet.

Its not a stadium issue and if she says so she is lying. If we can hold it at Herndon or Grady or South Dekalb Stadium at Panthersville with minimal concessions and staff then you can do the same at the Dome. To me this is real simple. If security, parking and concessions cost say $50k then you build that line item into your $25M budget. I mean damn, if Miami can hold one in Lockhart Stadium....

Georgia State is having issues if they can't afford a Spring Game with a $25M budget. Even most FCS team with less players, less scholarships, and a whole lot less money can do it.

Someone up there in Atlanta doesn't know how to manage money.

Do you get the feeling CL is just like the owner from Major League?

If Coach Miles stays through this debacle and keeps a level head during all of it, he is a much better man than I would be. I would have already been fired for voicing my opinion to that joke of an AD that yall have.

Remember the different helmet logos every single game last year? :D

We all have coping mechanisms.

He is not a fan. I dont think Curry was either but he was too much of a gentleman to get into it wit her. I think something happens either way after say 2015. If she is still here and he wins he is gone. If somehow he were to miraculously win 8 games in 2014 and she is here I think he is gone. Same for Hunter. If she stays I cannot see him staying a DAY after RJ gets drafted. Often wonder what kind of pictures she must have of our President.

Makes me glad we have the AD we have. T. Kleinlein was a former college football player at Wake Forest and he clearly sees things through some of our coaches's eyes. If a coach asks for something he tries to accomodate them in any way he can.

The good news is that I bet Sun Life Stadium rent will be cheaper than Arthur's Castle.

Did you get that date right? Are they really doing it mid week? Seems odd.

At Southern we make a full day out of it. This year following the Spring Game will be a baseball game, and (potentially) a fundraising auction that night.

Nothing has been officially released so we shall see. We have had other events on the same day. Car Show, Military Appreciation (Had Air Force and Army Bomb Disposal units at the event once. Got interesting with Army's little Robot.)
