Haha!

I heard about it long before it hit PT. I was wondering what the reaction would be when it did. 03-cool

Cool story bro
03-wink

True story, too. Ya'll have some loose lips working with you guys.

Oh the delight!

I wouldn't doubt it. Our staff turnover is so high, I wouldn't be surprised that there's no employer/school loyalty...everyone seems to be jockeying for that promotion at another school.

I'm extremely proud of my school, our coaches, and all our student athletes but out AD, her "leadership", and decision making are mind numbingly bad.

That one lady and her staff are making all of ya'll look bad. It rarely gets old picking on ya'll's' situation, but we all know no matter who replaces her, it has GOT to get better. She truly is a joke, and can't believe ya'll die hards haven't ran her out of town yet.

She's got nudie photos of someone. Becker's, um, nevermind...

RE: Spring Game Attendance
Texas State spring game is April 5th. We are also hosting South Alabama in baseball that weekend. USA fans who are coming to San Marcos for baseball games should head across the parking lot and check out some spring football (and Bobcat Stadium) as well. Neither the baseball or spring game times have been announced but they will be one after another.

What's the convenience fee on a $3 ticket on ticketmaster out of curiosity?

Pretty cool idea btw, a lot more intimate atmosphere there instead of at the Dome. It's almost like you're preparing folks for a smaller stadium (I kid I kid). Glad ya'll were able to get an event for the fans going on.

I wouldn't mind relocating the athletic park and a smaller stadium at 755 Hank Aaron Drive

Would an athletics only acquisition have to be paid for by private funds?

I am sure it would. But the GSU Foundation is very creative with the purchases. Becker just has to gulp and dig deep and act like a President presented with a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Any idea if ya'll have reached the point of the Regents saying no to any further acquisitions? I know GSU has the highest amount of outstanding bonds right now and it's way up there in dollars (granted, property in Atlanta is $Texas) but with the way they've cracked down on athletics type stuff that strays outside of the primary mission of academics, how creative could the foundation get?

We
ll if the foundation were to make a purchase its with private funds. Creative would be to make a purchase and then lease it back to GSU for 30 years with an option to buy it at the end of the lease. Just an example but one that has occurred in the past. My understanding is that the plan and direction is set financial aspect would not be the hangup in getting a deal done. What they have to weigh is cost for an amazing opportunity with the Ted and Underground vs. the hassle of negotiating for individual parcels of Downtown land. From what I have been told, there are small Downtown plots of land that are owned by as many 20 or more individuals. Imagine trying to negotiate with 20 people for 1 acre of land. This why for instance when Beaudy Ford went out of business we jumped on that land and eventually built University Commons dorms there. It's rare to run into multi-acre parcels for sale Downtown with a single owner.

Hopefully its a typical sunny mid April Atlanta day and hopefully they promote it hard. Its the the beginning of neighborhood festival season around here. Has potential to be a winner though.

Wow. That's still pretty impressive for a spring game.

Was also the first chance people had of getting into their new stadium, which helped a lot. Still impressive.

Our Spring Football game is this evening at 7PM in Boone.
